Uncle Julio's
The Manager of Catering Services is responsible for generating profitable sales, pursuing growth opportunities, and building relations with guest, vendors, venues and the off-premises dining community.
The Manager will drive process improvements and identify efficiencies while delivering a best-in-class experience for our guests.
This position leads the Catering team and reports directly to the Vice President of Off-Premises.
Responsibilities:
Promote and maintain an environment that thrives on creating memorable events for our guests.
Review and analyze processes and identify ways to improve end-to-end catering workflow to increase efficiency.
Managing catering sales and profitability targets
Supervising and leading a team of local catering managers
Create guidelines for consistent proposals that represent our brand
Utilize local store marketing tactics to increase awareness of the catering program
Partner with the restaurant’s General Managers to follow-up on “warm leads” in their trade areas
Actively develop and manage relationships with past, current, and future guests, local businesses, and other networking channels to successfully promote UJRG catering programs.
Provide consistently clear direction and timely communication of guests needs to restaurant’s General Managers, and operations teams to ensure flawless execution of catering events
Manage all aspects of catering sales, from fielding inquiries, guest interactions and meetings, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and confirming payment
Negotiate contracts with vendors for a variety of goods and services related to event planning
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of proven experience in multi-unit, off-premises catering operations.
Prior leadership experience, specifically managing catering team
Experience using catering and lead generation software
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a book of business via proven sales techniques, including cold calling
Passion for hospitality and creating memorable events
Track record of reengineering and streamlining processes, including leveraging technology and industry best practices.
