Manager, Merchant Strategy & Operations – Selection

We’re looking for a leader to join our Merchant Strategy & Operations team to scale our Merchant Selection. On the Merchant Strategy & Ops team, our mission is to have best-in class restaurant selection, build cutting edge services for our merchants to grow their business, and help our partners operate efficiently on the platform. As the “GM” of Merchant Selection, you’ll be responsible for building, owning and executing the best ways of improving our merchant base in your region. You’ll be responsible for setting the strategy and running day to day operations to have great selection at the market level, building new products to help our merchant partners grow, and find ways to help our teams move faster. What you’ll doExperiment – Use data-driven decision making and sound business judgement to run tests on everything from new channels to existing optimizationStrategize – Build the strategy for selection health at the market level, including which merchants we need, unlock resources to require them and ensure their success on the platformImplement – Drive go to market planning & execution for new DoorDash Selection initiatives to help build and support our merchant baseAnalyze – Build models to define selection success, new product KPIs, and drive our cross-functional teamsInfluence – Work cross-functionally with our Merchant Product & Ops, Markets and Growth teams to land key initiativesAbout youSelf-starter – You have a bias towards action and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, consistently changing work environmentNaturally curious – You always look for ways to innovate and improveRelentless – You roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make things successfulRelationship-builder – You can influence and motivate people at all levels across a variety of job functionsProblem solver – You can independently translate high-level goals into actionable plansOwner – you pride yourself in owning a goal and driving the execution of a team toward successQualifications4-6 years of experience in consulting / strategy / business development / operations / technology / banking or related experience; high-growth or early-stage startup experience is a plusProven track record of leading initiatives, working cross-functionally to achieve goals, and succeeding in a team environmentAn exceptional track record of driving revenue through partnershipsExpert communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent Excel skills; SQL knowledge strongly preferredWhy You’ll Love Working at DoorDash We are leaders – Leadership is not limited to our management team.
