THE ROLE
Golden Hippo is currently looking for a Manager, Media Buyer who will be responsible for leading a team to be experts in direct to consumer marketing, responsible for managing digital advertising campaigns to acquire new customers all while fostering a collaborative work environment.
What Your Day Will Look Like
Manage a team and handle inter-departmental daily tasks, working closely with the Direct Buy Director to ensure all company goals and are in line with department goals Update all department sheets and funnels, keeping all online resources up to date for the team Set up test campaigns and calls with new sources, delegating to direct buy team members Master company interfaces (Jira, Salesforce) and constantly update funnels based on split test wins and create funnels based on need Managerial duties including being a master in direct buy marketing so that you can be a resource for your team.
Managerial duties include approving time cards, scheduling weekly one on one progress checks, remaining available for needs of team both managing down and managing up Finding new traffic by contacting new websites, publishers, and other vendors to build connections and relationships Contact, negotiate, and close contracts with new traffic sources Analyze web metrics, provide campaign effectiveness reports and perform optimizations when appropriate to improve media performance Optimize and grow media buys such as budgeting, creative testing and data reporting.
Stay apprised of industry standards, new media programs/opportunities and can advise on new ways to reach targets
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
3+ years of performance based marketing Bachelor’s Degree preferred Experience managing 6 figure monthly performance budgets Management experience is required1+ Years managing in house digital media buying teams Experience with direct to consumer advertising preferred Able to build, develop, and lead a team Experience managing external partners Strong negotiating skills and ability to close a deal Strong mathematical and analytical skills and ability to relate results to company’s business objectives, providing a basis for measurement of the digital marketing activities Detail oriented and proficient at managing projects and able to organize, prioritize and structure workload
