Newell Brands is seeking an experienced Digital Tag Management Manager for our Ecommerce Marketing Technology group.
You will have an opportunity to work on familiar brands such as Yankee Candle, Marmot, Graco Baby, Crock-Pot, and Sharpie.
In this role, you will oversee the continued enhancement, design, and delivery of MarTech’s Tagging, Consent, and Digital Feed Management Systems.
To help drive success in this group, you will provide leadership to a team comprised of contractors and agencies.
You will also work closely with our eMarketing, Analytics, and Data Privacy team to align on initiatives and guide topics related to the governance of data layer, 3rd party tagging configuration, and fortify compliance with consent management on all our brand websites.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and leadership on design, development, and testing of Tagging and Consent Management Solutions
- Design, build, test, and monitor of our Web data layer and web tags/pixels
- Implement and maintain a technical solution for consent management with current and upcoming regulatory requirements
- Ensure governance of consumer data taxonomy, consistency, quality, and consent compliance
- Guide, mentor, and manage a team of Tagging and QA engineers
- Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Maintain Tag Management platform, releases, and enhancements needed to support business processes and goals
- Identify opportunities for maximizing web analytics features to improve internal business processes and consumer experiences.
- Be informed and inform stakeholders of changes in the digital marketing industry that will affect 3rd party tagging and web analytics
- Develop, own, and lead project timelines for initiatives
- Ability to identify data quality issues, sensitive data integrity, navigate multiple data sources, and work to resolve data quality issues
Candidate Requirements
- 5+ years experience in eCommerce or B2C
- 3+ years experience in tag management solutions such as Google Tag Manager, Adobe DTM/Launch, and Tealium
- 2 to 4 years of managerial experience managing a technical team
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical job experience
- Expertise in Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager experience is preferred
- Hands-on experience working on 3rd party tracking implementation s using tag manager templates such as Criteo, Commission Junction, etc.
- Solid understanding of data layer concepts, data modeling & governance, digital analytics implementation, and event handling methods via the DOM event model
- Experience working with jQuery, Regular Expressions, HTML CSS selectors
- Hands-on experience with one or more web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and debugging tools like Google Tag Assistant, WASP, and ObservePoint
- Experience with Consent Management Platforms such as Osano and OneTrust
- Experience with Feedonomics is a plus
- Technical solution-oriented and excellent analytical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Able to work well under pressure managing multiple competing deadlines
- Experience must include working in a scaled agile delivery framework (SAFE) using agile software (JIRA and Confluence) or the equivalent preferred
- Strong project management skills
