Manager, Data Center and Server Operations

Determine key goals and focus for the team based on business needs Develop budget and identify cost savings opportunities Lead team in deploying server and office builds under tight deadlines Lead all aspects of installation and management of data a center environmental infrastructure, server/network infrastructure components, as well as asset tracking and management Coordinate work with a variety of vendors and lead vendor performance Collaborate with engineering teams to remove project obstacles Work with multiple engineering teams to design hardware deployments Lead team in documenting standard operating procedures Who you are The right person is team focused, highly organized, and service driven with an acute attention to details and a mind centered on solving problems.

You will lead a small team and be responsible for a wide variety of technologies and platforms.

Your background may be in server support or datacenter management, technical support or closely related fields.

Are experienced in developing high dollar budgets and tracking against them Developed sophisticated goals and associated metrics to measure success against those goals Solid grasp of data center infrastructure elements (Power, HVAC, low voltage, server/network architecture) Worked with basic network configurations (VLANs, Trunkports, IP configurations) Advanced understanding of server architecture and related industry trends Strong customer service skills and demeanor with easy going and approachable personality Able to deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes when required Experienced in managing third parties for hardware and software support Possess solid understanding of hybrid data center environments as well as current trends in cloud infrastructure is a plus Demonstrate good communication skills and should be able to work closely with clients and other technical partners Have valid driver’s license and their own vehicle and be willing to travel within the Seattle area and abroad Works effectively with minimum supervision and function well under pressure Ability to support standing, pushing, bending, reaching, lifting heavy IT equipment (20-40lbs), and working on ladders
