Maintenance Manager

Position at Wild Fork Foods

Responsibilities:

  • Overall owner of initial plant setup including receipt, installation and start of all new equipment and establish PM’s and spare parts inventory for all relevant equipment
  • Understand and gain expertise on all new equipment and train the maintenance team on operation and future preventative maintenance and trouble shoot as required
  • Be part of plant construction design while building and ensure compliance through the construction process
  • Overall owner of maintenance key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Coordinate the development of RCA’s and action plans to solve problems and make improvements
  • Oversee regular maintenance budget and establish/execute capital budget
  • Ensure team member safety through training and completion/tracking of safety work orders
  • Ensure food safety and quality as it relates to maintenance activities and programs
  • Responsible for schedule attainment as it relates to maintenance activities and programs
  • Deliver cost Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) including MRO inventory & maintenance costs
  • Oversee measurement, tracking and planning for safety, quality, repair and preventative maintenance programs
  • Establish and continue positive culture with the team
  • Work closely with the plant manager and other members of the leadership team
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance down time to improve production up time efficiently
  • Create and maintain programs for hiring, training & developing the maintenance team of 2-5 people
  • Establish and maintain vendor support to ensure the most cost effective solutions
  • Make recommendations to the leadership team to improve the maintenance function

Work environment:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear
  • Office and manufacturing setting: the plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold (non-weather related), and working near moving mechanical parts
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of maintenance management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years repair and maintenance experience within food manufacturing equipment
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and PSM programs a plus
  • Intermediate or better PC / software skills including Microsoft office and CAD
  • This role will primarily work Monday-Friday, but candidates must have the ability to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred
