To learn more about Berry, visit berryglobal.com Responsibilities: Areas of Responsibility Responsible for effective functional organization and staffing of the Maintenance Department.Responsible for all training programs on and off site, planning and coordinating various programs to meet personnel needs within the departmental requirements and recommends improved training methods.Completes performance appraisals and conducts appraisal interviews on Maintenance and Facility personnel and maintains discipline in accordance with the companys rules.Coaches department personnel to develop teamwork skills.Responsible for assuring adequate working conditions, safety programs and appropriate maintenance equipment and supplies.Analyze costs and cost reductions where possible on an ongoing basis.Develop procedures relating to immediate areas of responsibilities.Coordinates projects of Maintenance with other department functions.Stays informed on current developments in immediate field of vocation and attends schooling and other functions as necessary and communicates information to subordinate personnel.Develops and maintains administrative records as necessary for evaluation and control of all department activities.Communicates and cooperates with other employees in a positive and constructive manner to achieve the goals of the department.Promotes safety by following all plant safety rules and reports violations and unsafe practices to appropriate management personnel.Promotes GMP policy, product safety and daily cleaning.Other duties as assigned.Environmental Health and Safety requirements for Berry Plastics AnaheimImplementation of Lean Manufacturing practices including; TPM, SMED, Standard Work, 6S and all related Kaizen events.All of the above are essential job functions.

Qualifications: Position Requirements Must know and follow all GMP/AIB/FPA procedures.

Must be able to work safely and follow safety rules and JSA procedures.Must be able to identify and report violations and unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.Must be able to wear protective clothing as hair net, uniform, rubber-soled shoes, gloves, long-sleeved shirt, and earplugs.Must be able to effectively respond in an emergency situation such as earthquake, fire, and accident and direct the activities of others.Must be able to follow all department procedures and directives.Must demonstrate computer knowledge in WebEff, Mattec, DcLInk, JDE and QSI database.Must have working knowledge and follow ISO procedures and work instructions.All of the above are essential job functions.Qualification Requirements Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or 3-5 years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs.Able to read, write, speak and understand English directions/instructions.
