Maintenance Director

– We are currently seeking an organized and responsible maintenance director to manage our 94-bed skilled nursing facility.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of mechanical, technical and regulatory requirements of a skilled nursing facility.

As maintenance director, you will direct and oversee all daily maintenance activities including preventive maintenance of physical plant and grounds, and overseeing environmental services.

Maintenance Director duties and responsbilities include but not limited to the following: Assume administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for supervising and directing maintenance department Assume on-call responsibilities as scheduled, including weekends and holidays Organize and maintain all records mecessary to operate maintenance department Assist in the development and maintenance of written maintenance department policies and procedures Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies Participate in quality assurance programs, and any facility committee or programs, which seek to imporve the performance and accuracy of resident care Experience 1 year supervisory experience required.

Previous long-term care experience is desirable.

Maintenance experience in all areas of machinery and facility repair required Specific Requirements Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public Knowledge of equipment used in long-term care (e.g.

lifts, wheelchairs, geri chairs, and scales) Effectively and efficiently handle both administrative and mechanical responsibilities Make safety a priority at all times
