LPN or RN – Wound Center; HBO Technician/Safety Director – Day Position

This is a Contract position in Glencoe, MN posted September 10, 2020.

The Wound Care Hyperbaric Technologist/Safety Director – LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) will administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the provider. They are responsible for all assigned nursing care activities to include but not limited to wound care for patients of all ages and other clinical activities associated with providing safe patient care.This position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance on the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems. It is the point person for assessment of materials that are appropriate for use in and around hyperbaric chambers.This position will also function as the Wound Care LPN or RN which is responsible for all assigned nursing care activities to include but not limited to wound care for patients of all ages and other clinical activities associated with providing safe patient care. The LPN or RN will be responsible for assisting with patient and wound care data collection for outcome-based care management. RN scope could include case management of a group of patients when necessary.Qualifications:* LPN or RN Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school with licensure in the state of Minnesota.* Two years minimum experience; wound care experience preferred.* Will complete the Diversified Basic Wound Care Course within six (6) months of employment.* Each chamber operator attends or provides verification of attendance to an Introductory Hyperbaric Training Course as approved by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology, American College of Hyperbaric Medicine or Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society.* Current certification as Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (interim status may be appointed until CHT certification is attained); become certified as a CHT within 1-year.* Maintains and demonstrates competency in BLS (Basic Life Support), infections control, safety and all unit required skill review.* Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and staff.* Attention to detail, must excel in time management skills and ability to demonstrate critical thinking.* This position is required to complete HBO training provided through our Healogics Network.The Wound Clinic is located inside of Glencoe Regional Health and is affiliated with Healogics: https://grhsonline.org/service/wound-care/This .8 FTE (64 hours per two week pay period) works daytime hours – Monday-Friday.
