Description: Job Title: Product Owner / ManagerJob Code: IMS20212610-71629Job Location: Greenville, TX Product Owner/ManagerWe are currently seeking a Product Owner/Manager for our Greenville, TX location.The Product Owner/Product Manager collaborates with stakeholders to define product requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria and to produce a clearly defined backlog.
He/she translates and communicates the product vision to Agile development teams utilizing the framework.
Being an Agile Product Owner acts as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams to remove roadblocks, resolve conflicts, and decide actions.
The PO/PM are champion solutions and prioritizes requirements to deliver best value to the customer and the business.
In addition, Agile Product Owner is responsible for project budget oversight.
The Agile Product Owner manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
The Product Owner/Product Manager has a full authority for personnel actions.Essential Functions: Responsible for the Vision.Conveys the vision of what is needed to the team.Identifies Subject Matter Experts well in advance where the team will need their input.Ensures that the team understands & delivers the desired Epics in the correct sequence.Primary responsibility for building, editing, and maintaining the Product Backlog.Reviews and reprioritizes the backlog as part of the prep work for iteration planning including coordination of dependencies with other POs.Collaborate with their team to detail stories with acceptance criteria and examples in the form of acceptance testWorks with team to agree on validating that the story meets acceptance criteria and has the appropriate, persistent acceptance tests, and that it otherwise complies with the definition of done Assures a level of qualityResponsible for accepting completed User StoriesResponsible for accuracy of all team-related data across toolsetsParticipates in the Daily Stand Up and Sprint RetrospectiveInterfaces with Stakeholders for Release Planning.Works with stakeholders at the Capability and Program/Baseline levels to coordinate deliverables.Review & track metrics to help prioritize Backlog and predict schedule slippage.Works with supervisor to align budget & scope.Interfaces with System Engineers to understand and refine requirements.Works with the System Engineers to refine Epics to make sure that they can be understood by the team.Works with the System Engineers to understand the acceptance criteria and how the functionality will be tested.Represents the Customer.Creates a Product Roadmap to meet Customer needs.Plans high-quality demos for Customer regularly.Understand the scope of the upcoming enabler work and collaboration with PM and PE to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the critical technological infrastructures that will host the new business functionality.Qualifications: Manage and optimize the flow of value through the program using various tools, such as the Program and Value Stream Kanban board and information radiators.Ability to effectively work and communicate with all levels of program, customer, and technical leads (IPTs, chief engineers, architects).Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.Defining the acceptance criteria and managing a product backlog that is aligned with the Product Roadmap.Experience with Microsoft Office suites, DOORS, Confluence and Jira.Create/maintain a n environment that supports positive team healthAssess and drive continuous improvement methods, automation, and continuous integrationEncourage continuous integration and communities of practice around scaling Agile and Lean and Engineering and Quality Practices.Create retrospective improvement roadmaps by analyzing all activities and actions that have previously been performed and finding ways to improve each processMust be a US CitizenMust be able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearanceRequired Education:Bachelors of Science degree in a related STEM discipline such as Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.Certification Desired: Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Product Owner/Product Manager Scaled Agile FrameworkCertified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Scrum AllianceProfessional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) Scrum.Org
