PurLife/Nature’s Kitchens is a dedicated commercial manufacturing kitchen located in Albuquerque, NM producing medicated edibles and retail products for PurLife Dispensary’s throughout New Mexico.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, hard-working, and energetic individual for the position of Kitchen Manager.
As Kitchen Manager you’ll be responsible for the overseeing kitchen staff, compliance, inventory & ordering, quality control, and cooking procedures to successfully create consistent, safe, quality product.
The Kitchen Manager will have excellent communication, attention to detail, and time management.
The ideal candidate is responsible, respectful, and eager to learn and grow within the company!
Primary Responsibilities/Qualities:
MUST have high-level kitchen or manufacturing experience.
Complete the sanitation of all production equipment and tools including workspace, utensils, containers, cookware, and appliances.
Will maintain a clean and tidy workspace
– ensuring NM food safety regulations are always followed.
Help other Kitchen team members when needed.
Attention to detail and the ability to produce bakery items to exacting specifications in a timely manner.
The ability to train and develop a team of bakers.
Reports to the National Manufacturing Production Manager
Fast learner, able to multitask and can meet a fast-paced, high volume production demand
Possess basic math skills to follow, scale and understand recipes
Able to operate baking machinery (commercial ovens, mixers, scales, and packaging equipment, etc.)
Able to stand /sit for up to 10 hours
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Load and unload cool and hot pans
– up to above shoulder height and down to below knee
Actively upholds company core values and is a team player.
Maintains quality and quantity controls.
Follows proper health department rules & regulations, HACCP, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Oversees use of equipment and kitchen appliances and responsible for scheduling repairs.
Coordinating, planning, and purchasing for the kitchen operations with Lead Baker
Records production, regulatory and operational data accurately follow SOPs, formulas, and guidelines and all gathers necessary supplies to provide consistency and quality.
Qualifications:
Must have at least 1 year high-level kitchen management experience and /or cannabis processing management experience.
All candidates must pass background check; clear of any felonies.
Candidate must have a Manager ServSafe food handlers’ card or obtain certification prior to hiring
Working conditions and high temperatures are normal for a manufacturing environment.
Work often involves lifting products up to 50 pounds, standing / sitting for up to 10 hours per shift and exposure to peanuts, dairy, and other food allergens.
Loose fitting clothes, artificial nails, and jewelry are NOT permitted.
Dress code strictly enforced.
