Kitchen Manager
The Community & Senior Center is seeking a full-time Kitchen Manager to oversee all nutrition services and kitchen rentals, including preparing home-delivered meals and in-house catering. Strong communication, planning, administrative and organizational skills a must!
$22.26-$24.49/hour
Responsible for overseeing all nutrition services and providing oversight of all kitchen rentals at the Center. The Center has a full catering kitchen which is used to prepare meals for seniors and Timberline Adult Day Services three times a week and home-delivered meals to the homebound five days a week. We also provide in house catering for scheduled meetings and events. This position will require both the skills of a trained cook and/or chef, and the communication, administrative and organizational skills of a collaborative leader to work with a variety of clients and colleagues. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal communication; excellent planning skills; minimum of 2 years of cooking or chef experience; valid Colorado driver s license at the time of appointment and throughout employment; knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety procedures; skills in the operation, cleaning, and care of utensils, kitchen equipment and appliances; methods of adjusting recipes; prepare nutritious foods and serve them in an aesthetically pleasing manner. Must be able to perform simple math and prepare written, verbal and computer reports. Must have Microsoft Office experience. Must be self-motivated, dependable and detail-oriented. Must be able to lift or move at least 50 lbs on a continuous basis.
