Program Description:
Our client is seeking an Emergency Management consultant to support the FirstNet Authority within the Department of Commerce.

FirstNet’s mission is to ensure first responders and public safety stakeholders have a dedicated broadband communications network.

Our team is supporting the program in the development of a roadmap of futuristic technology.

The ideal candidate with have a passion for public safety.

Responsibilities may include:
* Participate in working sessions concerning future technology, creating meeting notes, tracking action items
* Researching public safety technology
* Performing analyses and projects for the FirstNet Program
* Participating in team meetings and working sessions concerning the FirstNet program

Required Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience as a consultant in a professional work environment
* BA or BS degree
* Experience working directly with government clients
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to produce high quality products in a short amount of time while being highly attentive to details
* Ability to grasp complex subject matter to include gaining general knowledge about communications technology
* Excellent oral and written communications skills
* Ability to obtain Department of Commerce public trust

Desired Qualifications:
* Knowledgeable in mission critical push to talk technology
* Public safety background
* General knowledge of radios, LTE, microwave systems, VHF communications
