MAIN FUNCTIONS Manages and performs systems design, development, testing, implementation, and training activities for the installation andor upgrades of various technology systems and applications. Manages operational support and maintenance of the various technology applications and systems to support Equipment Mechanical Department and Infrastructure Engineering Department. Manages and coordinates activities of assigned personnel and provides technical assistance as needed. Coordinates project tasks between IT teams, Technical Services, Computer Operations, and other NJ Transit departments. Identifies and procures hardwaresoftware, consultant services, and applications development tools to implement new systems, expand existing systems, and provide for a highly productive applications development environment. Performs viability studies for new system requests as well as enhancements to existing systems. Responsible for the performance assessment, employment and progress of assigned employees. This Position Supervises Principal Senior Analysts Program Analysts Knowledge and Skills Familiar with Rail operations Basic knowledge of Rail Infrastructure and the maintenance steps required to keep NJ Transits Track, fixed facilities and maintenance facilities maintained and look for as well as support systems related to these Rail functions. Project planning experience for enterprise-wide applications and experience in multi-platform application environments is required. Experience with Transportation Systems such as applications for BFleetRail maintenance, asset management, Rail crew management, train dispatching (and more) is a plus and with strong analytical problem-solving skills. Hands-on technical experience with Web Development (C and VB,.net), Crystal Reporting, Team Foundation Server, Cloud Architecture(AWS, Azure), and Database is desired. Working Environment Will work 15 of time travelling to Rail and Track maintenance sites to deploy application to Rail agreement employees as well as supervisors. Education, Experience and Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Systems, Management Information Systems or equivalent Bachelorsrsquo degree. Must have ten yearsrsquo experience with at least 5 in a leadership role.
