IT Manager

Our company is searching for an experienced IT Manager who can maintain and expand our computer networks. The ideal candidate will be able to manage our WAN, LAN, VPN computer platforms, while looking for ways to grow our networks in a cost-effective way to meet future needs. The IT Manager will be responsible for developing network maintenance and growth plans, creating annual and project budgets, managing the IT staff and keeping the executive team up to date on the latest networking technologies that could help the company to succeed. PRINCIPAL DUTIES ADMINISTRATIVE Acts as a central point of administration for computing technology platforms. Monitor all system access requests validate need and evaluate appropriate access levels need for system access. Provide timely response to entities and individuals requesting system accesses. Report on access granted and denied to RBMN Management. Monitor network performance on an ongoing basis, evaluate solutions and improvement of the technology scenarios and make recommendations to management that include preliminary cost and benefit analysis. Assist in the procurement of products by being principally responsible for analyzing and monitoring network and computing platform needs to maintain a consistent platform performance. The following equipment and software areas may be included LAN Servers and Operating System Software All Server based and Desktop based application and utility software Desktop, Laptop, Cluster hardware All Network equipment, including firewall and VPN Cell phone and wireless services and devices Diagrams and reports. Monitor and track data system equipment, software, services and contracts. Develop and maintain network installation standards, procedures and checklists. Maintain and assist with network equipment inventory. Serve as a point of contact for external service vendors for network, hardware and maintenance providers. Perform user, group, printer, and application administration on LAN server systems. Perform system administration on LAN and cloud server systems. System management, change management, process definition. Prepare network recommendations and proposals for management. Serve as a point of contact and manage external service vendors for network equipment and services. Plan and manage projects as assigned. Assist with audits as required. Plan and test emergency and disaster recovery plans. Work on-call and overtime as requested to support systems. Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS Bachelor’ Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred 5+ years’ experience in information technology management Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and clientserver technology Software development abilities preferred Strong problem solving, and communication skills required WORKING KNOWLEDGE of the FOLLOWING SYSTEMS Active Directory including Azure VMWare Firewall management. Antispam appliances or cloud-based filter Group Policy Management. Distributed print services. Avaya IP telephone and voicemail system. Microsoft SQL server. WordPress website management. VPN with MFA Backup and disaster recovery solutions. OTHER DUTIES Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current trends and technology in the network industry. Assist with recruiting and interviewing as needed. Assist with budgeting. Assist with help desktech support needs
