Open Date 8/22/2020 Close Date 9/22/2020 Description The Director of Information Technologys primary responsibility is to oversee the streamlined operations of the IT department and to ensure it aligns with the business objectives of the organization. This individuals principal goals are to develop and manage application portfolios for each department and to attain all IT service level agreements for the user community within the organization. The Director of IT will plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. The Director of IT will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The Director of IT role is to provide vision and leadership in developing and supporting security initiatives. S/he directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems, business operations, and facility defenses against breaches and vulnerability issues. This individual is also responsible for auditing existing systems, while directing the administration of security policies, activity, and standards. Description of Primary Responsibilities Formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing and communication technologies and the organizations security strategies. Manage IT/Security departments and EHR operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources. Define and communicate project milestones, security strategies and plans, service level agreements, and resource allocation to executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users. Develop and review IT/Security departments budgets to ensure they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives. Review performance of IT systems (to include EHR) to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements. Benchmark, analyze, report and recommend any improvements of the IT infrastructure, Security and EHR systems. Develop bid requirements for all hardware and software upgrades, reviews submitted bids for compliance with stated requirements, and makes the appropriate award. Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on department needs. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT, Security and EHR spending and initiatives. Direct research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts. Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services. Develop and implement all IT, Security and EHR policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recover, standards, purchasing, and service provision. Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements. Manage IT staff, by supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions. Act as advocate and primary liaison for the companys security vision via regular written and oral communications with the PMG executives, department heads, and end users. Manage the administration of the facilitys security systems and their corresponding equipment or software, including fire alarms, locks, intruder detection systems, sprinkler systems, and anti-theft measures. Manage the administration of all computer security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, and anti-virus software. Ensure that facilities, premises, and equipment adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. Recommend and implement changes in security policies and practices in accordance with changes in local or federal law. Assess and communicate any and all security risks associated with any and all purchases or practices performed by the company. Where necessary, supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of security staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies. Promote and oversee strategic security relationships between internal resources and external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations. Informed on trends and issues in the security industry, including current and emerging technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executive and management teams on their relative importance and financial impact. Maintain strictest confidentiality. Perform any other duty assigned by the Vice President of Business Continuity and Client Relations, CFO or CEO within scope of practice to improve the efficiency of PMG. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: 5 years experience managing and/or directing an IT operation. Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development. Good understanding and technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards, including Wireless LANs and WANs. Systems design and development experience from business requirements analysis by day-to-day management. Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations. Superior understanding of the organizations goals and objectives. Demonstrated ability to apply IT with Security in solving business problems. In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT and security. Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures. Experience in planning and executing security policies and standards development. Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including information security, building security, and defense solutions. Working knowledge of computer, applications, computer systems characteristics, features, and integrated capabilities. Strong leadership skills. Experience with system design and development from business requirements analysis through day-to-day management. Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving security problems. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Licenses & Certifications: BA or equivalent in the field of computer science or information systems and 4-5 years related work experience. Preferred Certifications in SQL, Network+, Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Linux Essentials Professional Development Certification (PDC) Current BLS (basic life support) Certification Communications Skills: Effectively and tactfully communicates complex and/or technical information to co-workers, patients and/or vendors Minimum Requirements: An BS degree or higher in computer science or information technology is preferred but not required.
