he Quality Manager position at the Atlanta Airlines Terminal (AAT) facility is responsible for ensuring that various planning, monitoring, and document management processes that influence the efficient delivery of client services at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport are executed effectively.
The central responsibilities for this position focus on the maintenance and application of the facility’s certified quality management system (QMS) to drive a culture of continuous improvement in compliance with the ISO 9001: 2015 standard, client, and contract requirements in a large, facility operations and maintenance setting.
The AAT facility has been ISO 9001 certified since 2013.
Additional responsibilities include managing a team responsible for work planning/scheduling, work order management, and other important administrative and quality program support functions.
Jacobs provides facility operations and management services to the Atlanta Airlines Terminal Company, LLC, at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Essential Job Functions
Position is able to perform the following:
- Lead efforts to maintain AAT project’s continued compliance, certification, and support of ongoing contractual requirement to meet ISO 9001: 2015, as well as any future revisions to the standard.
- Partner with senior leaders, frontline leaders, and technicians to create and maintain quality management system documents that serve to standardize how technical and administrative work is performed and services are delivered to meet established performance standards and client requirements.
- Manage the resolution of internal and external corrective actions and preventive actions using established quality management system processes and practices and recommend process changes to improve management of the system, customer communications, and service delivery.
- Manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of the required annual quality management system management review, and internal (ISO & BRAT) and external (ISO) audits to comply with established schedules and ISO standards, including the documentation and resolution of findings of noncompliance and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain the quality management system controlled documents library, including all document change revisions; measuring/monitoring equipment calibration logs; policies, forms, administrative and technical work instructions, and other associated documentation required to provide objective evidence of project compliance with quality management system requirements.
- Evaluate project and operational risks for effective implementation of quality management system and recommend corrective and preventive actions to reduce, control, and mitigate risk.
- Develop training programs and instructional guidance to support the quality management system’s management, customer communications, and service delivery processes to ensure full integration with project daily operations.
- Assist with project onboarding processes to ensure new team members are introduced to the quality management system during new hire onboarding.
- Partner with the project leadership team to capture and analyze data for the development of quarterly business reviews (QBRs), annual business reviews (ABRs), and other client reports and presentations.
- Provide administrative support and leadership team engagement in the maintenance and training requirements associated with the AAT project’s business continuity plan.
- Prepare and submit monthly key performance indicator (KPI) and special project reports.
- Provide administrative support and objective evidence documentation of Jacobs compliance with asset management system business processes to assist client with maintaining ISO 55001: 2014 certification.
- Lead special projects and assignments to support client requests and drive a project culture of continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001: 2015 standards and requirements for quality management systems.
- Be a skilled, self-starter in the completion of duties and assignments with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Support members of the project leadership team and technical team in compliance with contractual requirements and the delivery of exceptional client services.
- Be responsible for managing complex, detailed, logistical elements of project tasks commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
- Be able to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple projects and tasks concurrently and in compliance with strict schedules and critical deadlines.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities including self-motivation, resilience, positive attitude, cooperation, and collaboration skills, and be a team player in the execution of daily work assignments.
- Demonstrate excellent, proactive verbal and written communication skills and confidence applying basic data analysis skills to drive improvements to the quality management system and project performance.
- Be adept at using Microsoft Office Suite, computerized maintenance management systems and other technologies.
- Demonstrate solid skills in the development and delivery of basic training and instructional programs and presentations
Successful candidate will have the opportunity to work a flexible schedule; however, due to the nature of the role at least 50% of the quality manager’s time will be on site working with the client’s team, the project leadership team and field technicians.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Four-year bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in an applicable and related discipline or equivalent experience required.
- Three to five years’ experience working as a quality manager or similar position in
- a medium to large facility setting (airport, university, hospital, commercial office
- building, etc.) focused on delivering services to maintain equipment and systems
- (HVAC, fire suppression, electrical, plumbing, central utility plant, etc.) critical to
- facility operations.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to be covered by Jacobs liability insurance carrier.
You’ll ideally have:
- All basic education requirements to include a master’s degree in an applicable or
- related discipline preferred.
- An ASQ or other professional designation such as:
- Certified Quality Improvement Associate
- Certified Quality Auditor
- Certified Quality Engineer
- Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence
- Certified Facility Manager
