Interdependence: Freelance Account Director Swedish Speaking

The Role:Interdependence Public Relations is seeking to bring on an Account Director in an independent contract role to oversee a high profile client.

The ideal candidate is someone who has deep expertise in media relations with top mainstream media outlets in Sweden and countries where the language is spoken.

This candidate must be fluent in Swedish in terms of written and oral communication skills.This is an opportunity to take on a role as a strategic advisor and a partner to clients, deliver executive-level PR strategies, uncover compelling narratives and help teams across the agency secure top-tier press.

In this position you’ll work alongside senior leaders across the organization to manage accounts, projects, budgets and teams both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.The Responsibilities:Demonstrates expertise in media relations in SwedenCommunicates big picture logistics, creative story ideas and media tactics to teamCraft media pitches using excellent writing skills, as well as your own unique vision; defines and adjusts strategies appropriatelyProvides direct counsel and is seen as a media expert plus a valuable partner by the clientMust be fluent in SwedishMust be available to work during the weekMust have strong media contacts in Sweden Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in journalism, communications, digital media or a related fieldPreferably 10+ years of media relations, journalist experience, or agency experience with demonstrated success of media placementsExcellent news judgment, creative ideas, and writing skills a must.Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyDemonstrates exemplary follow-through and execution skillsEmbraces new methodologies, with an entrepreneurial spiritExcellent communication, organizational, writing and presentation skills
