Insurance Sales Director

Start-up niche insurance broker looking for a Sales Director in the Chicago, IL office.

This position will focus on the transportation industry and will play an integral role in helping to expand our business from a start-up to a target $2.5 million GWP in three years.

Were looking for a driven individual with strong initiative and an entrepreneurial aptitude.

An interest in working for an insurance broker thats disrupting the industry through use of technology is key Responsibilities Build strong relationships with our existing client base Design and implement effective marketing strategies to source new clients Effectively communicate our products and services to clients and advise them on plans and packages appropriate to their needs Ability to recognize cross-selling opportunities Provide an excellent customer service experience Create and communicate status and performance to Board of Directors Adhere to regulatory requirements Maintain electronic and paper records Skills/Requirements Self-motivated Proven track record as an insurance sales representative (5 years) Experience negotiating with Insurers Strong relationship skills, presentation skills, and decision making skills Solid knowledge of the transportation/trucking industry preferred Licensed Producer: Property & Casualty, MGA and/or Surplus lines preferred, but not required (must obtain P&C license within 90 days) Proficient in Microsoft Office Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience Competitive compensation package.
