HR Consultant

Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a manufacturing company located in Greenwood to fill a contract HR Generalist.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assist with the implementation of the HR strategy in support of short-term and long-term business goals and partners with specialist groups to ensure coordination of HR strategies and processes across the organization.
• Supports the implementation of policies and procedures that drive innovation and employee engagement that positively supports individual and organizational performance.
• Interpret and communicate H.R. policies, procedures and programs. Work with HR Management ensure communication and compliance with company policies, procedures and with local, state and Federal laws in all areas of HR and payroll; including ERISA, EEO, FLSA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA reporting, and safety compliance.
• Develop, manage and support the Employee Performance Program, including performance improvement plan processes, investigations/issue follow-up and resolution. Keep the program focused on employee performance quality, as well as employee career growth. Manage the timeliness, quality and consistency of the reviews. Work closely with managers to promote the success of the program and use the program to identify and nurture talent within the company.
• Manage employee relations issues and assist management with conflict resolution to ensure that issues are identified and addresses promptly and fairly.
• Provide guidance regarding Leaves of Absence, Workers Compensation and Benefits for the company with execution of process improvements and initiatives.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration or related field preferred.
* Minimum 3 years of similar HR generalist experience
