Applicants that meet qualifications will receive a text with some additional questions from our Modern system.In this position, you will:Work to assures appropriate placement of patients, monitors care provided on the nursing units and addresses concerns with the caregivers, charge nurses, supervisors and the unit/department management teams.Provide consultation and direction for efficient operation and quality customer service.Oversee, enhance and facilitate caregiver and provider interactions, working to promote a collaborative environment.Act as an administrative representative in the absence of Administrators.Work collaboratively with caregivers and others to determine issues and corrective actions related to patient, family, provider or caregiver concerns.Direct and collaborate with department/unit management team and charge nurses to help assure appropriate staffing and efficient use of resources.Keep clinical and management skills current and relevant through demonstrated involvement in job related training programs and in-services.Participate in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrates the use of quality improvement in daily operations.Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position include:Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in NursingCurrent licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Alaska5 years recent acute hospital experience as a staff nursePreferred qualification for this position include:2 years of nursing supervisory/charge nurse experienceAbout Providence Alaska Medical CenterProvidence Health & Services Alaska is among nation’s best employers for healthy lifestyles!
