GENERAL PURPOSE The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the reliability, maintenance and enhancement of facility equipment.This position will ensure functioning of facility systems; develop standard operating procedures; and establish facility maintenance inspections and preventive maintenance programs.This position will manage HVAC/R systems and have knowledge of food service equipment, electrical and plumbing.
This position will complete other projects as requested by the Vice President and Director of Store Development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
·Management, service, installation, maintenance and repair of all types of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems (self-contained units, reach-in coolers/freezers, walk-in coolers/freezers, rack systems, ice machines, A/C units, furnaces, make-up air units, boilers, chillers, etc.)
·Ensures available resources for maintenance and repair by managing refrigerant levels and parts inventory, recording purchases and usage, tracking and ordering parts
·Knowledge of controllers, CPC, Danfoss, Einstein, Comtrol, food service equipment, plumbing and electrical
·Maintains quality standards by inspecting installations and modifications of new heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) equipment and Peak Alarm refrigeration monitoring system, ensuring contract compliance and identifying and reporting deficiencies
·Ensures financial sustainability by compiling and reporting budget information
·Requests replacement equipment for facilities; submitting warranty claims, reviewing journals and invoices, conducting price comparisons of refrigerant, parts and other related costs, developing scopes of work (SOW) for projects
·Provides required paperwork by completing and submitting expense reports, summaries, refrigerant logs and work orders
·Troubleshoots refrigeration and other equipment failures
·Complies with OSHA and EPA regulations and other safety policies or guidelines
·Upgrade systems to satisfy new regulations or meet new standards
·Inspects completed work for compliance to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards
·Knowledge of, including but not limited to, Freon gas, Glycol, CO2, all secondary refrigerants,roof top units (RTU), Grease Duct, Air Scrubber and Bundle Repair
·Complies with federal, state and local heating, ventilation, air conditioning and HVAC/R industry regulations and guidelines (for example, building codes, indoor air quality, cold chain requirements) by conducting inspections and making repairs
·Coordinates work schedules with stores to maintain business standards
·Keeps work area/tools well maintained, clean, organized, and performs housekeeping duties as required
·Delivers excellent customer service to all associates, customers, partners and suppliers
·Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
·Assist as needed to ensure the success of the store as a wholeMARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·Refrigeration Contractors License
·Type I/Type II EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling and Electrical Certification
·Knowledge of plumbing, electrical,maintenance, and installation techniques
·Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel between stores and pick up items from suppliers
·Knowledge of the HVAC or refrigeration tools, materials, and test equipment
·Knowledge in analyzing HVAC and/or refrigeration malfunctions from performance and test equipment readings
·HVAC certificationand/orprevious experience as a Refrigeration Technician
·Ability to read and interpret blueprints, compliance schematics, policies and procedures
·Knowledge of local building codes and applicable welding and soldering techniques as required.
·Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills
·Knowledge of food safety and risk management
·Excellent organization and planning skills
