The Channel Sales teams mission is to build an outstanding Ping Partner Network.

In order for us to accomplish this goal, we need someone with channel, sales and strategy experience.

This is a channel sales role focused on GSIs in North America and working with our GSI managers in other regions to ensure continuity globally.

As a GSI Sales Director, you will work with our existing partners and in identifying, onboarding and promoting new Ping partnerships, working from the Ping channel strategy focused on winning new customers for Ping, and expanding our technology footprint with existing customers through our channel partners program.

You will report to the VP of Channel Sales.

Travel required.

We have a global Channel Sales team, and this position can be based anywhere in the US.

You will:

  • Build relationships and implement marketing programs with our GSI partners
  • Build a pipeline of opportunities sourced or influenced by GSIs
  • Work with the Technology Alliance team to gain executive agreement at the highest level within our selected GSIs
  • Build upon partner onboarding and enablement strategy at the field level in support of partnerships
  • Work with channel marketing to build and execute the channel marketing strategy
  • Accelerate revenue and new customer acquisitions via Pings Channel program and meeting plan expectations.
  • Identify and propose potential business deals by contacting relevant partners; discover and explore opportunities
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities
  • Attend industry events, collaborating with partners to generate incremental business
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Measure and achieve success metrics to partners and the business and analyze business intelligence
  • Directly manage partner relations with Global System Integration
  • Work with direct sales and marketing organization to increase Pings value proposition
  • Establish and use senior level contacts in GSI organizations

You have:

  • 5+ years field sales and/or business development experience in the software industry.
  • 5+ years field sales and business development experience with GSIs in the IT security or infrastructure sector.
  • Experience optimizing channel program for revenue accomplishment.
  • Experience in identity management is a significant plus.
  • Closing skills, motivation for sales, prospecting skills, sales planning,
  • Selling to Customer Needs, Territory Management, Market Knowledge,

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in management or team lead position
  • Operational structure / process oriented
  • Passionate about channels programs
