The Global Supply Chain Manager lead efforts to implement new materials management strategies to deliver measurable improvement while reducing cost of parts and increasing turnover of operating capital.
This position is key to the execution of Saint-Gobain’s Manufacturing Operations plan to achieve best-in-class results in: 100% On-Time Delivery Maximize financial strength through effective purchasing and inventory management Lead high Employee Satisfaction Supplier zero-defect Quality Develop supply planning standards across all the sites in your SBU.
Provide leadership to SBU’s on Supply Chain Activities; Inventory Targets, Manage and direct the current Supply Chain Activity portfolio including QAD standardization, Master Scheduling, OTD and OTIF.
Improvement of OTD and OTIF to our customers and excellence of our customer experience and journey are the intended outcomes.
Create, communicate and drive continuous improvement for supply and material planning, processes and tools across sites, by reviewing current processes, ways of working, gaps and tools, to improve and sustain better metrics such as OTIF, OTD, production plan accuracy, etc.
Develop master scheduling plans for the SBU to drive hiring, material purchases and machine utilization.
Determine the optimal supply plan to meet the forecast.
Drive continuous development and learning activities across regions, by managing certification process, enhancing skillsets, and coaching and ensuring regional alignment to global approach, to ensure appropriate skill sets and capabilities of Supply Chain Managers across the globe.
Drive global capability / mastery for Supply Planning best practices by reviewing escalated issues and opportunities with the SBU Supply Chain Managers, to enable continuous improvement.
Present strategy & SOP implementation updates to Executive team, plus CEO of Life Sciences.
Support and develop Supply-Chain Team/Direct Reports at the local and regional level.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 10 years of Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing Operations with demanding operational activity.
Management experience (program & team) in a manufacturing Supply Chain or Materials Management function.
Operations, Supply Chain, Lean/Six Sigma; continuous improvement methodology.
Excellent written, communication, presentation and internal interaction with peers, all levels of management and all site and SC functional individuals Proven experience in implementing & integrating new programs and applications within Supply Chain Methodology, S&OP, et al.
Ability to analyze and solve highly complex Supply Chains, Supply Chain issues, Supplier, Site throughput and capacities, lead-times, OTD-R, OEE, etc.
to achieved Customer excellence results as communicated by LS, SBU and higher entities.
Ability to travel, 20-40%, to all sites and headquarters; Functional meetings as required (Multiple Europe and Asia trips).
Key sites are in Ohio & New Jersey; plus China, Japan, France & Germany.
Microsoft Suite; Database Software; ERP utilization Bachelor’s Degree – Business/Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering/Technical or related field, required; Master’s Degree – MBA or related field, preferred.
