Global Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) has an opportunity for a talented individual to lead the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) audit programs for Intels Global Operations that includes auditing to contractual, legal, and statutory requirements, and EHS-related voluntary standards.

This position will report into the Global EHS Risk and Compliance Manager.

As a Global EHS Audit Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Partner with EHS legal counsel to complete internal audits related to EHS compliance, management systems, EHS standards, and business risk at Intel sites.

  The audits include in-depth documentation and records reviews, interviews with site leadership, and physical inspections related to EHS compliance.

• Maintain a company-wide certification to the internationally recognized ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards to ensure that our manufacturing sites maintain a comprehensive, fully integrated environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management system.
• Partner with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) program manager and provide strategic and technical guidance related to EHS scope (RBA Code and RBA Questionnaires support).
• Leading the compliance audit program to ensure all audits are planned, executed and completed per agreed upon schedule (includes EHS compliance and assurance and ISO audits).

  This includes coordination between a multi-disciplinary audit team as the lead auditor.

• Schedule pre-audit readiness reviews and post-audit periodic meetings with the host sites.
• Ensure that sites significant EHS risks are identified, corrective action plans are in place, and the audit results are tracked, monitored and communicated accordingly.

  Identifying best management practices and share EHS learnings.

• Partner with stakeholders such as EHS legal, sustainability and public affairs, global supply chain, factory managers, general managers, and global EHS standard owners (e.g., fire protection, ergonomics, occupational health, safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, and construction).
• Develop and maintain a budget for compliance EHS and ISO 14001 and 45001 certification audits.

  Requesting quotes for external services, managing purchase orders and invoices.

  Managing access to ISO voluntary standards.

• Facilitate meetings between Intel and NSAI and ISO program owners.

  Manage external relationships with suppliers, independent contractors, and certification bodies.

  Communicating significant changes to all stakeholders as needed (internally and externally).

• Develop and implement business contingency plans and coordinates global EHS risk assessments.
• Manage ISO cross-site team of EHS professionals across multiple regions/locations.
• Ensure adequate pre-audit preparation, contact with site leadership, and logistics planning with the audit team.

  The position will be expected to effectively document and communicate deficiencies identified to sites, stakeholders, and CS leadership.

• The position may require up to 50 percent travel.

  Periodic international travel, as part of a global audit team is also required.

  The position also requires routine field work in various climates, including extensive walking through industrial facilities and climbing multiple flights of industrial stairs.

This position can evolve into an organization unit manager role.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have a degree in Environmental Science or related field.

• Bachelors of Science with 6+ years of experience
• Masters of Science degree with 4+ years of experience.
• PhD with 2+ years of experience

Experience above should be in one of the following:

• EHS work in industry. 
• EHS regulatory compliance and audit.
• OSHA and/or EPA audit and inspection.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISO 14K or 45001 experience
