Position Summary The Global Assignment Consultant provides essential support to SIRVA’s corporate clients in managing the designated client’s personnel who are relocating for an international assignment.

The GAC serves as the point of coordination for international assignees for the delivery of various on-going assignment management services offered under their employer’s international assignment policies and procedures.Functions and Responsibilities80% Relocation/File ManagementManage on-going assignment services including expense management, conducting quarterly check-ins, monitoring lease period and other questions and concerns related to support required while employee is on assignment at host locationCollaborate with the GAC-File Manager to provide advice and consultation to international assignees as it relates to on-going support based on their particular needs and country-specific requirementsCoordinate with all internal departments/functions to ensure a successful on-going assignment support experience20% OthersProvide assistance with exception management, including recommendations on specific exceptions to policy in consultation with GAC-File ManagerProvide assignee status updates, keeping the main points of contacts abreast of issues and offering solutions as issues arise, and completing client client projects are requestedComplete other tasks/responsibilities as required to provide effective support to GAC-File Manager Qualifications and Preferred SkillsMinimum of 2 years direct relocation experience OR 3 years of related customer service experienceKnowledge of international assignment management of global businessAbility to identify potential problems and develop creative solutions without immediate direction or supervisionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills; the ability to function as part of a team while acting as a self-starterAbility to manage deadlines, multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environmentStrong presentation skills, business etiquette and interpersonal skillsProficient in MS Office programs and job-related systemsEducation and Certification RequirementsBachelor’s Degree preferred
