They are also proactively engaged in business development activities in the community.
The Area Branch Manager/Team Leader is a coach and mentor to team members and uses their exceptional member service and experience to onboard all new Team Members in their branches.
Additionally, the Area Branch Manager/Team Leader can fluidly transition between tasks assisting members, and supporting the branch as a Member Service Associate (MSA), Sr.
MSA, Personal Financial Representative (PFR), Sr.
PFR, and Branch Manager/Team Leader.
The Area Branch Manager/Team Leader is excellent at deepening member relationships by referring, following-up, and contacting members through phone calls and other communication methods.Weekly travel will be required as this individual will be supervising branches in Moses Lake, WA & Wenatchee, WA.What You Will Be Doing:Provide exceptional member serviceTackle problems, take ownership of member concerns, provide prompt resolutions, and follow-upHave a core understanding of financial literacy and be able to discuss it with membersDemonstrate an up-to-date and extensive knowledge of all credit union products, services, policies, and proceduresOffer appropriate products and/or services to deepen member relationships and refer to other team members as appropriateMake outbound telephone calls to members for the purpose of establishing, growing, and cultivating member relationshipsMeet or exceed established service levels, job performance, and organizational goalsResponsible for the overall success of multiple branches, branch management, and their Team MembersProactively engage in business development activities in the community that contribute to branch and organizational goalsResponsible for the branch budget and cost managementResponsible for managing the overall branch performance and profitabilityReview documents and transactions prepared by team members to ensure they accurately adhere to regulations and credit union policies and proceduresPartner with the Branch Manager/Team Leader and/or Assistant Branch Manager/Team Leader to supervise scheduling, interviewing, hiring, the dynamic disciplinary process, and timely Team Member evaluationsOnboard, train, and mentor new branch team membersTrain and develop Branch Manager/Team Leader, Assistant Branch Manager/Team Leader, and senior positions as leadersWork with team members and other departments to ensure proper branch safety and security policies are being followedCoach and mentor team members to be proficient in their job role and successful in reaching their goalsProficient in understanding, discussing, and opening business accounts, deceased-owner accounts, and other complex accounts and distributionsProficient in discussing, gathering, and working with the member and appropriate department(s) to open and maintain specialty accounts such as Trusts, UTMAs, Estate Accounts, Representative Payee, Attorney-in-fact, Durable Power of Attorney, etc.Proficient at understanding and completing branch audits and certificationsAccurately take consumer lending applications, review credit reports, submit loan documentation, and close loansProficient in opening, discussing, and understanding IRAs and HSAsProcess international and domestic wire requestsProvide Notary Public services in accordance with state regulations and credit union policiesObserve and supervise cash activity to ensure the branch and Team Members are following cash limitsProficient at opening consumer deposit accounts and consumer account maintenanceAble to place cash orders, supply orders, balance vault cash, and maintain ATMsReview and process overrides/approvals within your authority while minimizing riskAssist leadership with branch certifications, cash drawer audits, cash drawer overages, and OFAC reportsAccurately follow all cash handling procedures and balance your cash drawer at the end of every dayIssue, record, and file monetary instruments and reports in accordance with the Bank Secrecy ActAssist members with Digital Banking enrollment, navigation, resets, and maintenanceAssist members with fraud disputesAbout You:Professional written and verbal communicationMake sound decisions that minimizes risk in a timely mannerAbility to ask open-end and clarifying questions to understand member needs and deepen relationshipsDisplay professional interpersonal skills to relate effectively to members, the public, colleagues, and all levels of leadershipRespect and support all areas of diversity in the workplace and our membershipComplete assigned training programs in timely and accurate mannerParticipate in and support a team environmentLeadership core competencies:Leaders at Gesa Credit Union are lifelong learners who, by developing themselves, are better able to grow our team members and our organization as well as serve as influential role models for each other.
