This is a Full-time position in Indianapolis, IN posted February 22, 2022.
Overview Provide support to Envigo team members responsible for managing the Envigo Genetic Integrity Assurance Program which includes, breeding, genetic drift management and genetic monitoring.
Serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external genetic related inquiries of a technical nature.
Responsibilities
Provide support on global genetic monitoring and audit program, ability to analyze and interpret genetics monitoring data of different animal models and species
Liaise with external lab on genetic analysis and troubleshoot any genetic anomalies
Serve as the subject matter expert for internal and external customers
Participate in RCA exercises specifically related to genetic abnormalities
Interpret and analyses of internal or external customer study data, specifically on genetics and information as required
Apply scientific literature to solve technical problems, advise on inquiries, and provide scientific guidance/expertise
Assist with responding to customer complaints of a technical nature, and where possible, achieve internal and external resolution
Assist with responding to customer technical inquiries regarding animal models for research, animal husbandry, production, animal health, genetic status etc.
Qualifications
MSc degree or equivalent in Genetics or related field
PhD degree in population genetics or related field preferred
5-10 years related industry experience
Experience in rodent genetics, breeding and management preferred
Knowledge in rederivation and cryopreservation preferred
