General Manager – Funeral Director/Embalmer/Cremationis

Owens Livingston Mortuaries, headquartered in Show Low, Arizona is looking for a new General Manager who is a triple-licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer/Cremationist. We are a small family funeral home with 3 locations: Show Low, Snowflake Holbrook, Arizona. We run and operate our own crematory. If you’re not a licensed cremationist, we’ll help you obtain your cremationist license. We’re looking for a person who has excellent leadership skills and a great work ethic. We are a fairly busy big/little funeral home. Benefits will include health insurance, after probation period of 90 days (individual/family – if needed) monthly salary of $7500.00 per/month (annual salary $90,000.00). In addition to salary, there will be a $25.00 per call count added to pay which, conservatively, can add an additional $10,000.00 per year (based on a 400 call count/per year.) In calendar year 2020, Owens Livingston Mortuary served in excess of 600 families; in calendar year 2021, Owens Livingston Mortuary served in excess of 700 families. Responsibilities will include: funeral directing, embalming, cremating, ordering supplies, making schedule, leading BY EXAMPLE and not just barking orders (LOL) to others. Applicants must have a conservative and calming demeanor and be able to offer solutions to problematic situations instead of creating them. We are a small mortuary family and work hard and well together. The new General Manager will also work as Mr. Livingston’s right hand We’re looking for experienced applicants with 5 to 10 years but will consider less experienced applicant. Applicant must enjoy living in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona and appreciate the four seasons.
