General Manager – Feminine Care Job Description General Manager, North American Feminine Care SUMMARY OF POSITION Contributes to the delivery of the Global Business Plan by ensuring North American U by Kotex® delivers its financial commitments through the development of insights into innovative branded total solutions, customer development, strategic planning, and category/domain strategies and expansion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Creates the 3-5 year strategic development plan and translates it into actionable 0-2 year execution plans. Develops and executes annual North American U by Kotex® Brand business plans and marketing plans that deliver financial objectives (P&L). Ongoing, manages P&L to stay on track in delivering quarterly and annual financial commitments. Collaborates with the customer facing organization to ensure the delivery of North American U by Kotex® Brand net sales and market share. Collaborates with global brand team on North American brand vision and strategies. Engages, inspires, and galvanizes the entire U by Kotex® Brand organization around the brand vision, position, and strategies so they are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of functional expertise. Owns consumer understanding; defines the strategic target, understands key relevant insights, needs, attitudes and values, habits and practices. Internalizes core consumer understanding and translate that into stronger, more impactful ideas and brand experiences that opens consumer?s hearts and minds. Acts with speed to market. Steward of the brand ? guides and instills in the organization the ability to be choice full about actions that support the brand?s promise, brand equity and brand health in context of overall business goals for the company. Develops enduring brand strategies that direct the brand and ensures the brand promise is threaded through all brand activities. Develops growth targets/objectives and strategies for the brand that are interpreted from and align with global brand strategy. Defines and executes the commercialization strategies to support the brand and strengthen equity for future growth. Develops net revenue plans including pricing, margin mix, and trade spending strategies and plans including price increases, price decreases, and new price points. Leads development and execution of Annual Operating Plan. Leads Customer Business Planning Process. Develops SKU strategy, deployment, and management, including mass customization. Leads development of Customer KPI?s and Sales communication of brand initiatives and strategies to Field Sales including Selling Story/Tools, Bulletins, National Sales Meeting, etc. Leads the development of category and selling stories to ensure strong POS execution. Manages inventory as it relates to working capital. Collaborates with customer teams to develop and execute key customer Innovation Summits. Develops and executes market plans to launch product technology and commercial innovation. Development and management of a performance driven organization that attracts, retains and develops top talent and embraces change. ORGANIZATION: People Responsibilities/ reporting line/partnerships The incumbent reports to the President – North America Personal Care and manages a team of 9 direct reports. In this role the incumbent will interact frequently with: Research & Engineering, KCNA & Global Marketing teams, Supply Chain, and Finance to develop long term commercial and product/technology innovation pathways that deliver the brand vision. NA and enterprise COEs especially Marketing, Research & Engineering, and Supply Chain in developing best practices, tools and metrics. Global Marketing, NA Marketing leadership, and HR in talent planning and development. Customer Development Leadership to ensure North American translation plans are implemented effectively and efficiently with the Customer Development Teams. Marketing agencies, including advertising, digital, multi-cultural, design, retail, and PR. Customer CEO, COO, CFO during customer and Innovation Summits. K-C CEO and CFO during forecast. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education required/ preferred: Graduate degree (preferred) or undergraduate degree with equivalent work experience. Experience : Minimum of 10-15 years of business experience with a history of demonstrated business success; P&L management; extensive knowledge of the CPG industry; specific marketing and brand building expertise including experience in new product development and insight development and experience in working directly and indirectly with major customers; identifying and deploying brand vision, visual identity, and communication/campaign ideas; strong skills in creative development and agency relationship management; cross-functional knowledge/direct experience in all aspects of business including research & engineering, supply chain and human resources. Extensive knowledge of North American markets a plus. Feminine Care experience a plus.
