General Manager

The Two Harbors Golf Association Board is seeking candidates for the general manager position. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about golf course management, has the ability to teach golfing basics, is knowledgeable in marketing to bring in more golfers and tournaments, is a strong leader who fosters a collaborative teamwork approach to staffing, has experience hiring and supervising staff and has a business background. The general manager will be responsible for the pro shop as well as food & beverage operations and report directly to the THGABoard. Key responsibilities also include:

• Reviews and approves the appointment, employment, transfer or termination of all key employees. Coordinates major activities of subordinates through effective leadership, supervision and delegation. Appraises assigned personnel.
• In conjunction with the Board of Directors and the Golf Course Superintendent, develops short and long- term goals, objectives, policies and operating plans for the Golf Course.
• Presents proposed operating and capital expenditure budgets for review and approval by the

Board of Directors.

• Directs operation of the Pro Shop including collecting greens fees, golf cart management, ordering and selling merchandise.
• Directs Food & Beverage operations.
• Collaborates with the Golf Course Superintendent and golf course operations.

The THGA Board will consider all candidates who meet all or some of the above skills. This is a seven- month salaried position, March 15 to October 15. The salary is roughly $45,000. Exact season and salary are negotiable depending on qualifications.

Pay: $6,000.00 – $6,800.00 per month
