· Implement the career development process and provide training and development to assure the competence and availability of skills to meet operating requirements.nn nn
· Utilize the performance evaluation process as employee development and feedback systems to focus on continuous improvement and upgrading of employee skills.nn nn
· Stay knowledgeable of all personnel policies and procedures and management systems and implement them consistently.nn nn
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contracts and regulations.nn nn
· Determine and allocate the resources required to meet performance requirements.nn nn
· Produce accurate, timely and informative reports in a usable format for analysis and decision making.nn nn
· Interface with other departments and customers regarding scheduling, plant status, generation requirements, etc.nn nn
· Develop an Operating Plan that meets operating requirements and contractual commitments.nn nn
· Consistently review budget status and cost categories to evaluate and control costs.nn nn
· Review and approve contracts that meet operating and budget requirements.nn nn
· Assist in the identification and resolution of warranty claims.nn nn
· Take action as a result of incidents and trends indicated by operating data.nn nn
· Involve the appropriate people for gathering data, evaluating solutions and planning for implementation.nn nn
· Consistently evaluate equipment and systems to improve performance and reduce costs.nn nn
· Provide for Company support of and participation in community activities when appropriate.nn nn n nn nn EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE nn nn
· Minimum of 10 years industry or related experience in the management, operation and maintenance of thermal electrical generating facilities, including gas-fired thermal electric generating facilities.nn nn
· Minimum 3 years management and supervisory experience.nn nn
· Experience managing a plant in the PJM market.nn nn
· Bachelor’s degree or other advanced degree preferred.nn nn

Working at the power plant may require:nn nn nn nn
· Working in varied outdoor environments such as all weather conditions, all noise levels, hazardous conditions, and on the full range of outdoor work surfaces.nn nn
· The frequent use of protective equipment (i.e.
hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves and high voltage protective equipment, etc.) may be required.

· Working in proximity to high voltages and current with proper training and equipment, operating heavy equipment and rolling stock and entering confined spaces or hazardous environments may be required while often being exposed to equipment and machinery noises.nn nn
· Duties require walking, standing for extended periods of time, crawling, stooping, sitting, climbing vertical and inclined ladders and stairs, operation of large valves and other tasks requiring up to 100 lbs.
