Specific Task:• The Fitness Center Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations.• Oversees all designated health/fitness program(s), ensuring all services under the agreements have been delivered and reported to the appropriate program manager.• Provides orientation and ongoing training to fitness center staff as needed, ensuring all agency health/fitness center guidelines and administrative policies are incompliance with stated guidelines.• Provides communication/guidance to the staff on new policies and changes to old policies or procedures.• Ensures that the CDC fitness center is staffed according to the scope of work and work schedules are modified to meet fluctuating workloads.• Schedules and conducts interviews to hire new staff members and provides feedback/recommendations to delegated authority.• Recommends the purchase of needed exercise equipment to the appropriate Program Manager.• Consults and coordinates with appropriate delegated authority/ Operations Manager and/or Program Management regarding equipment and facility repairs, facility layout and cleanliness, and equipment transport.• Schedules quarterly preventative maintenance appointments.• Coordinates and/or ensure that supplies, equipment, files, and client records are maintained in properly secured storage.• Maintains staff certifications and credentials on site in a locked area and ensures that all staff, including site instructors and other support staff, are current on all the required certifications.• Forwards staff payroll documents for payment to the Millennium Enterprises (MEI) Program Manager.• Provides a monthly Key Result Area (KRAs) report to the MEI Program Manager.• Update recall roster with information for all personnel as needed.** this position is contingent on Millennium Enterprises being awarded this contract**Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in health/fitness related field and at least one (1) current nationally recognized Health/Fitness Certification.• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.• Three (3) year management experience in a corporate or government fitness center/health club setting and at least three (3) years supervisory experience.
