Field Marketing Solutions Manager

We tell our story in compelling and relevant ways to our various constituents which include marketing leaders and brand sponsors, university athletic departments, and internal employee groups.

We connect brands to fans and bring our partners leading technology, data analytics, and media products, all with a rich legacy and deep understanding of sports, events, and entertainment.

The Marketing Solutions team at LEARFIELD is looking for a creative-minded candidate to join a team of marketing executives that support our East Region sales team.

This includes overseeing the development and communication of holistic proposals based on a client’s brand strategy, objectives, and creative brief – a.k.a.

“the big idea” – with the overall goal of driving sponsorship/multimedia sales, renewals and upsells at more than 45 partner institutions.

Responsibilities :

IDEATION

• Be a driving force behind the development of strategies and creative ideas for, and sharing best practices with, new business clients, and existing partners

• Understand the needs of these brands, and how to create valuable fan/consumer connections for them as a partner of more than 45 institutions

• Develop unique ownership opportunities based on brand research and/or a brand brief, and an understanding of the client’s needs/objectives

• Create innovative, cutting-edge concepts that utilize our digital platforms, traditional assets, data, and content to develop exciting, holistic sponsorship/multimedia partnerships

• Bring our ideas/platforms to life through a compelling narrative and storytelling in client pitches

• Participate, and effectively present, in client meetings as needed/when possible

• Synthesize insights, objectives and feedback gained from client meetings and sellers to aid in pitch evolution

• Collaborate with the Insights team to support ideas with relevant data.

• Work alongside the Graphics team to bring your ideas to life internally and externally

SALES TOOLS

• Lead the creation and distribution of regional resources and projects as directed

• Collaborate with other internal departments (Social Activation, Fan365, Sales Acceleration, Insights) on available sales materials

• Lead the creation and distribution of cross-property sales proposals

• Provide continuing education in storytelling/ideation with regional sales team members

LEADERSHIP

• Assist with the management of the overall pipeline of projects assigned to the team via our project management software (e.g., Smartsheets)

• Lead or supervise project “kick off” and “sales review” meetings with sales team members in the region

• Develop a project plan according to the objectives and deliverables of the project

• Develop the approach and rationale (“the why”) for partnership, as well as the holistic partnership platform/solution

• Track and communicate progress to key constituents

• Ensure that quality work is being completed and delivered on time

• Participate in monthly regional leadership meetings

• Collaborate with other Field Marketing team members to ensure best practices are being shared/communicated

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 5+ years of sponsorship/multimedia marketing experience at a brand, agency, property/league, or other relevant entity

• Digital/social media experience preferred

• Previous experience in a leadership role a plus

• Excellent presentation skills, written and oral communication skills required

• Excellent creative, storytelling and ideation skills required

• Ability to lead the development of highly stylized sales materials that bring our narrative, partnership platforms and concepts to life

• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under tight timelines, meet or exceed deadlines, and deal with unforeseen situations

• Manage obstacles – overcome problems or objections by offering solutions

• Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Adobe suite proficiency a plus
