RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF EARLY LEARNING:
Oversees the total operation of Association wide early learning, including enrollment growth, programming, staffing and development.
Ensures programs and services meet community needs to include supervising existing program activities, establishing new program activities, and expanding the program within the community as needed.
Develops, directs, and monitors high quality programs operations which support the association mission, goals, and strategies.
Positively represents VOS YMCA with partnerships agencies and other governmental entities (Department of Health Services, United Way, St.
Mary’s Food Bank, etc.).
Administering program budget, materials, communication, marketing and promotion to ensure optimum enrollments, in partnership with association marketing and communication teams.
Plans and oversees on-going marketing of early learning programs to ensure optimum enrollments.
Directs all aspects of safety related to staffing, equipment, environment and behavior.
Know and train on the use of incident reports, emergency procedures, stocked first aid kits, etc.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS TO BE AN BRANCH EXECUTIVE OF EARLY LEARNING:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Childcare Director or Senior Program Director overseeing multiple sites or programs
Experience with the budgetary responsibility of $2 million or higher, preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Ed or BA in Arts Child Development or equivalent preferred
A proven record of accomplishment in fiscal and/or program fiscal responsibility and sound financial management skills
Experience launching new centers and/or new early learning classrooms
Experience in staff supervision, committees and in providing leadership to groups
Ability to recruit, train, schedule, supervise and motivate staff
Knowledge of licensing and risk management standards in regards to childcare; experience with Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold a plus
Experience creating, implementing, and facilitating trainings
Experience in developing and monitoring financial projections, budgets and assessment of program effectiveness
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated experience setting and managing priorities.
Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for service, building and maintaining a culture of excellence
Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, particularly evening and weekend hours
