Engineering Supervisor – Resort Maintenance

JOB SUMMARY:

The responsibility of the Engineering Supervisor weighs heavily towards hands-on with some administrative responsibilities. This person is responsible for engineering results, leading by example with the engineering department to encourage them to improve service and productivity and hold them accountable. The supervisor must show consistency among principals, values and behavior, by building strong relationships with engineering department and the rest of the associates and managers of the Resort.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

-To keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day to day maintenance of the Resort, under the direction of Engineering Management.

-To continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guests and associates.

-To train and instruct other members of the staff by passing along knowledge and skills. In addition utilizing resources from the Engineering Training Library and of outside vendor sources will assist them in their development and further advance your own. Participate in property or offsite training as directed by Engineering Management.

-To be an independent mechanic, able to analyze problems and to formulate plans to get work done quickly including procurement of materials, parts, etc., and necessary scheduling arrangements with a high degree of quality.
