Education Project Manager

Epsilon, Inc.

This is a Full-time position in Weaverville, NC posted January 28, 2022.

Project Coordinator | Federal Contracts

Location: 100% Remote with some travel to various Epsilon locations.

Position Summary: The Epsilon Project Coordinator supports the entire project cycle of new and modified Federal contracts, including project logistics, scheduling, coordination, organization, execution, and ongoing contract maintenance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Focusing meticulously on the details, ensures projects are well-organized and run smoothly.
  • Provides high-level administrative support to the Vice President and Program Managers.
  • Assists in developing project objectives by reviewing project proposals, plans, and conferring with management.
  • Communicates with executive leaders and designated department members to make sure everyone is on the same page.
  • Builds Project schedules based on understanding project plans, technical studies, and cost estimates.
  • Maintains project schedules by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving conflicts and issues
  • Reports issues and risks of the project. Maintains Risk Charts and can plot progress against risks.
  • Provides risk assessments and evaluates finances, analysis and controls, performance assessment, change management, project forecasting, and reporting on projects of various sizes and complexity.
  • Prepares and issues project progress, performance, specialized, cost, contract, and cash flow reports to the project team, management, and the client, as required. Can report on critical path, report on changes, and baselines.
  • Provides support in the continued refinement and development of organizational improvements, production of processes and procedures, management plans, data entry manuals, and the continued sharing of lessons learned for assigned projects.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma and 3-5 years experience in a project coordinator role or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Highly detail-oriented and reliable in handling the minutiae of the project’s management, with readily available supervision.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent follow-through and time management skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Decision-making and prioritization skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams.
  • Possesses the ability to rely on knowledge and experience to perform functions of the jobs with less dependency on written and oral procedures and instruction manuals.
  • Cost and risk management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, problem-solving, time management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to delegate effectively.
  • High level of self-motivation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio and Project

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Understanding of contract cost and pricing principles.
  • Experience working with federal contracts.
