However, the core business is the high school and casual athlete market (over 65M people in the USA alone).
The company was founded by Matt Arciuolo, the product inventor, and Certified Pedorthist for the US Olympic Bobsled Team.
VKTRY began operations in 2016 and has experienced rapid growth over the last 5 years.
In 2022, the company is forecasting revenues of over $8M, mostly DTC via the company website with a smaller portion of sales coming from Amazon.
The HQ is based in Milford CT and the company currently has 12 employees.

Job Title: Ecommerce & Retail Sales Manager
You will lead the growth and success of VKTRYs eCommerce marketing efforts as well as supporting all retail sales efforts, partnering closely with the rest of the management team.
In this role, you will provide leadership and communicate strategic direction for all eCommerce & retail activities.
Additionally, you will be responsible for developing the strategy and execution to create a best-in-class consumer experience.
This includes customer acquisition, conversion, retention, webshop ownership, and customer satisfaction across all consumer touchpoints.
The position calls for the perfect mix of art and science in abilities, instincts, and execution.
You have a gut for great creativity and a mind for strategy, execution, and measurement.
You will take a leadership role in building a best-in-class consumer experience across the VKTRY ecosystem.
You will be responsible for acquiring and retaining customers and maximizing their lifetime value.
This role will oversee all aspects of the consumer experience.
The perfect candidate understands the challenges of an early-stage business and is excited to help build an emerging, disruptive, premium-priced consumer brand.
The Manager will report directly to the CEO and be based in Milford CT with some flexibility on working remotely part of the time.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Create, implement, and drive strategy, execution, and analysis of online and offline marketing efforts based upon strict investment allowables and lifetime value metrics.
Build a scalable marketing budget and plan for smart growth while expanding channel mix and improving key customer KPIs & overall profitability.
Execute and scale a customer acquisition strategy through both online and offline marketing channels including search engine marketing (SEM), Direct Mail, Paid Social, search engine optimization (SEO), and other marketing programs.
Develop best-in-class creative content.
Champion best practices regarding the measurement of ad effectiveness, especially as it relates to marketing effectiveness and multi-channel campaign optimization.
Continuously identify, test, and implement new marketing channels while measuring existing channels for a portfolio effect that drives proper KPIs.
Balance profitability and customers LTV through continuous improvement of the website experience and a laser-like focus on customer satisfaction.
Manage the appropriate external partners/agencies and coordinate all marketing communication efforts, striving to ensure sales and margin goals are met.
Build and manage highly effective email and mobile marketing programs.
Drive both customer acquisition and retention through transactions and triggered email and mobile flows maximizing results through segmentation, cadence, offer, and design.
Maintain and evolve a robust testing framework to expand the volume & pace of learning across the business.
You should love and appreciate the value of a good a/b test.
Report and analyze channel and campaign performance real-time, daily, weekly, and monthly basis; develop insights and make recommendations for action and opportunities.
Own the performance of all relevant KPIs (LTV, CAC, contribution margin, channel CPAs, retention cohorts, customer churn feedback, return rates, etc.)
Develop an ongoing consumer insight feedback loop with consumers to help support and drive key business decisions and the overall consumer experience.
Foster continuous improvement.
Be the expert on new, relevant technologies to help drive consumer experience including but not limited to website optimization and personalization.
Business & Personal Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of senior strategic marketing experience in a direct-to-consumer organization with a strong online / eCommerce / digital presence.
Experience must include analytics-based decision-making where success is measured in terms of customer growth, website conversion, and superior content.
Results-oriented self-starter with a track record of positive results in a fast-growth environment.
Must demonstrate a clear understanding of consumer and media trends, and the development of market strategies and campaign outcomes resulting in significant growth of customer/revenue base within a competitive environment.
Keen understanding of leading-edge eCommerce segmentation methodologies and their respective role in marketing communications.
Forward-thinking, business development-focused individual.
Leads all online / eCommerce revenue-generating solutions.
Strong analytical skills, proven ability to consume and understand data, work with decision scientists and analysts to get to clear results and analysis.
Creative / innovative; organized /detail-oriented; team player/ solution-based approach; skilled at promoting collaboration and driving problem resolution.
Exceptional skill in verbal and written communications; proven ability to successfully articulate and address complex business issues and opportunities.
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus
