You will oversee the Merchandise and Food & Beverage teams at our resort.

If selected, you will report to the Area Manager Operations.This position is located at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort, in South Carolina.Responsibilities:Lead the day to day Merchandise/Food and Beverage operationEstablish promotions, products and specials as well as collaborate with Walt Disney World partners to explore new business to drive financial metricsIncorporate the lens of Leadership, Management, Technical skills, and Relationships (LMTR) in daily functions and when implementing decisionsCreate an environment of inclusion where diverse thoughts and ideas are recognizedRecognize and develop Cast Members and hold them accountable for delivering excellence in safety, courtesy, inclusion, show, and efficiencyPartner with all resort Lines of BusinessConduct daily pre-shift breakout meetings to communicate relevant information to cast membersMake daily operational decisions that benefit Guests, Cast Members and the demands of the business and respond, assess, investigate and resolve different emergency situations with Guest and CastMonitor daily staffing levels, forecast shift coverage needs based on demand and manage supplies, stock and operating expensesSupport local projects and monitor any potential impacts to the Guest and Cast experienceLead Cast Members by teaching, coaching and taking appropriate action to correct deficient conditions, behaviors, and work practicesSpend majority of day on the floor engaging with Cast and Guests, with minimal office time and tasks (80% onstage)Basic Qualifications:1+ year of leadership experience in hospitality (supervisor, manager, coordinator, lead).Trained eye that quickly spots things out of order and can work quickly to resolve the issueUnderstanding of the impact of financial aspects of an operation (i.E.
operating budget, revenue, labor, inventory systems, costs, etc.)Commitment to promote an inclusive work environment that supports diverse perspectivesCapability to share communication across teams to ensure everyone understands updates, priorities and appropriate course of escalationProficiency creating Excel reports and PowerPoint presentations, communicating using Outlook and capability to adapt to new technology and computer applications quicklyAvailable to work any shift including days, nights, weekends and holidaysCapability to bend, flex and walk, lift 17 pounds and push/pull up to 85 pounds with or without reasonable accommodationA valid US driver’s license along with the ability to operate a company vehicleCapability to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodationPreferred Qualifications:1+ year of resort experience in Food and Beverage or MerchandiseMultilingual skills in SpanishRequired EducationHigh School Diploma (or equivalent)Preferred EducationBachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related disciplineAdditional Information:#DPEP_Media
