What does a Director, Talent Acquisition do?
The Director, Talent Acquisition supervises, mentors and coaches team members while providing strategic thought leadership within the Talent department.
Reporting to the VP, Talent Acquisition, the Director ensures that Talent Acquisition processes and best practices are implemented and adhered to by the team and across the organization.
This individual helps to identify and propose innovative strategies, build programs and execute tactics that support a variety of Talent related functions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Foster relationships with department heads and leadership providing strategic input and subject matter expertise
- Manage team of direct and indirect reports, providing guidance and insight on full-cycle recruitment process
- Own TA related initiatives, seeing process through from inception to completion
- Evaluate current processes providing recommendations on methodologies to streamline and optimize
- Identify new strategies to promote a positive candidate and hiring manager experience
- Understand market insights and trends and make recommendations to position Intouch as a leader among our competition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for senior level roles across varying agency departments as needed
- Mentor team members on full-cycle recruiting process, workflow and best practices
- Identify areas of improvement and lead on ongoing Talent team initiatives and best practices
- Lead and mentor junior and mid-level members of Talent team and provide guidance on career development
- Align with HR Business Partners, Inclusion & Diversity leads and Learning & Development team to fully integrate all functions of HR
- Communicate updates on approved positions to Talent team
- Resource manage the Talent team for requisition and talent initiatives
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required
- Ten or more years of previous full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within an advertising agency setting, with three or more years management experience
- Passion for talent acquisition, people management and process improvement
- Ability to develop relationships and build trust at leadership level
- Friendly and outgoing with high customer service acumen
