Job Overview: We are seeking a Director, Strategic Solutions to be responsible for developing, maintaining and leading the CTTS (Clinical Trials Testing Solutions) Innovation Process.
This includes processes for problem definition, ideation, opportunity evaluation, risk assessment/management, prioritization , prototyping, rapid iteration, feedback loops, and decision .
Lead the development and maintenance of the CTTS Strategy consistent with Labcorp Drug Development (LDD) and Labcorp Diagnostics (LDx) strategies.
Collaborate with CTTS Executive Committee (EC) members in functional strategy development and integration with the overall CTTS strategy.
Develop actionable strategy roadmap with recommendations for issues and finding innovation opportunities where possible.
This will involve building the teams, running the project, and working with the operational functional groups to achieve the end result .
Lead the annual CTTS Strategic Initiatives process in collaboration with CTTS Functional Leaders, the commercial organization and corporate functions such as commercial, marketing, human resources, and quality.
Lead and/or engage with teams developing innovations for new products, services, business models, or drug development capabilities.
Respond to and anticipate changes in client, patient or other drivers of demand in the Marketplace.
Be a thought leader on industry trends, emerging technologies and scientific advances.
Proactively monitor competitor activity, strategy and innovations.
Establish, maintain and build excellent collaborative business relationships with CTTS EC members, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and key stakeholders across the LDD and LDx organization.
Build and present robust business cases, financial analyses, and risk management strategies to stakeholders in the business .
Serve in a leadership capacity to raise the profile of CTTS through attendance and active participation at life science partnering conventions.
Liaise with appropriate internal and external consultants to promote and maximize CTTS capabilities.
Assist with identifying collaboration partners to achieve CTTS goals.
Maintain Innovation and value creation metrics and provides regular updates to the CTTS EC and ELT.
Projects and seeks novel opportunities that address future business needs, enable profit and growth, and client needs.
Ensure clients and client-facing teams are kept current on CTTS innovations and strategic initiatives as appropriate.
Work with the commercial, marketing, and communications teams to create compelling value propositions and messaging.
Analyze platforms, systems, processes, for current and future capacity needs, bring forth proposals for consideration, and work with the business to vet and establish how or what can be brought forth.
Create a path forward based on goals and future trends necessary for the CTTS organization to continue to be relative and first-in-class in clinical trial solutions delivery.
Education/Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in an appropriate scientific, business development, marketing, economics, informatics, or engineering discipline; additional advanced degree is in business, technology or science preferred.
MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant drug development role in a pharmaceutical company/CRO/biotech company, with at least 4 years of experience of direct interaction with senior/executive level decision makers.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in innovation, value creation and strategic planning roles.
Excellent communication skills: strong presentation, writing and analytical skills with experience in engaging with Executives at senior levels in client organizations.
Strong networking capabilities and an ability/willingness to work with international teams.
Demonstrated ability to get work done through influencing others Ability to work independently and to handle multiple competing priorities effectively.
Excellent planning and organizational skills Strong negotiation skills
