Responsibilities
The Director, Reimbursement Business Management is responsible for the management of the assigned field based RBA personnel delivering provider-focused operational and reimbursement support to Interventional Glaucoma customers (physicians and their office staff) to facilitate safe and effective use of Allergan’s products .The Director oversees the East/West team ( one of two teams) to ensure appropriate leverage of programs, tools and resources to help customers understand and overcome barriers that may impede or delay access to treatment with Allergan’s product’s and/or prevent appropriate patient compliance to recommended treatment protocols including reimbursement support.
Customer support includes provision of guidance on appropriate billing and coding to the highest level of specificity.
The Director collaborates closely with other RBA Director, Dir of Provider Marketing, HUB manager, Brand and Sales Directors on appropriate account prioritization and encourages inter-team communication at every level.
Responsible for all aspects of team training / development and performance management, utilizing appropriate technology and creative training methods and maximizing productive time on territory across the team
The Director also works with the Director of Provider Marketing and Payor Marketing to contribute to development of provider and patient reimbursement strategies and resources on relevant payer updates and trends.
Other activities include managing all personnel related issues such as hiring, training, development and coaching, while maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance
Supervisory responsibility: Authority to hire, promote, and term employees.
Manages team of ten RBAs.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
Management experience of large group is essential
Five or more years of direct ophthalmic surgical device training and support management experience
Experience in medical/surgical glaucoma is highly beneficial, but not required
Inner working of a physician’s practice and health care delivery system, including HUB support/development
Developing successful physician and practice stakeholder relationships
Sales leadership
Prior Brand Management experience preferred
