Director, Platform Specialist

This is a Full-time position in Chicago, IL posted November 14, 2021.

The Director, Platform Specialist, is responsible for communicating Fidelity’s platform and product strategy to Fidelity Institutional clients and prospects.

You will demonstrate how Fidelity’s technology offering helps firms transform, evolve and grow to lead the future of wealth management.

You will work collaboratively with FI Sales and Relationship management teams to grow firms’ businesses and exceed expectations, delivering a premier client experience.

You will collaborate with clients and prospects to ensure the awareness and benefits of FI technology solutions.

You will be a relied upon as a subject matter expert on behalf of the needs of FI prospects and clients, working with the Fidelity Institutional Product Management teams in crafting the technology and integration roadmap, as well as collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure concise, impactful delivery of valuable information and updates related to technology and integration solutions.

You will engage with clients and prospects to ensure the awareness and adoption of relevant technology solutions that help them achieve their business growth, efficiency and client happiness goals.

Deep knowledge and understanding of Fidelity platform solutions, and how they help firms grow, evolve and transform is a critical component of this role; as you will be regarded as the subject matter authority and will be called upon to present the value of Fidelity’s technology offering, along with driving overall promotion and adoption.

The Expertise You Have

  • BS/BA degree required
  • Series 7 required (pass within 90 days)
  • 7+ years FinTech or related industry experience
  • Must have proven understanding of a variety of aspects of the wealth management industry, competitive landscape, and strong familiarity with Fintech solutions
  • Experience working with wealth management firms, especially understanding, evaluating and implementing technology solutions that tackle business problems

The Value You Deliver

Client and Prospects

  • Engage with firms (both clients and prospects), gaining insight into opportunities and challenges, developing and delivering strategies to grow, scale and enhance client relationships for that firm demonstrating Fidelity platform solutions
  • Deliver platform technology demonstrations for all clients and prospects (via WebEx and/or in person)
  • Drive platform and tool adoption across existing and prospective firms
  • Supply technical / platform expertise to RFI/RFP requests
  • Understand Fidelity and 3rd party solutions for firms, while having deep insight into selection, implementation, configuration and optimization
  • Represent Fidelity at client & industry conferences delivering the platform value proposition

Platform Strategy & Development

  • Contribute to the development of the strategic platform roadmap by providing key inputs based on observations in the areas of firm needs, competition and evolving trends

Communication Strategy

  • Work with FI marketing to develop messaging that drives adoption of technology products and services
