Job Duties:Communicates best practices nationwideInitiates process improvement teamsConfers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the areaDevelops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment and employee resourcesReviews costs and makes changes/recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operation of divisionDirects preparation of accounting records, recommends budgets to management, ensures budget numbers are metCommunicates KPI’s weekly, monthly, and quarterlyParticipates in company marketing and sales effortsEnsures ISO compliance for assigned facilitiesEnsures assigned facilities have the resources necessary to meet company goals and objectivesManages Operations Senior Managers, Managers and/or Account Managers within assigned facilities and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned accounts/campuses.Interviews, hires and trains employeesPlans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines; addresses complaints and resolves problemsTravels as needed: to possible include 75% in 1 90 days and 15-25% after 1 90 daysPromotes and ensures a clean and safe work environmentFor food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to senior management to initiate actionOther duties as required and assignedRequirements:Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or universityMaster’s degree preferredMinimum 7 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience and/or knowledge of storage and shipment of food grade items preferredExperience with both inbound and outbound international shipments preferredKnowledge of labor management systemsPC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelEssential Skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general publicAbility to properly manage P&LAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situationsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formEnvironment:While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
