Director of Technical Program Management

This is a Full-time position in Anchorage, AK posted October 31, 2021.

Providence is calling a Director of Technical Program Management PSJH to our location in Renton, WA; Redmond, WA; Portland, OR; Irvine, CA; Anchorage, AK or Beaverton, OR.

We are seeking a Director of Program Management role the Administrative Technologies vertical at PSJH.

This role will be focused on leading program management deliverables within the HR and Onboarding business domain.

The scope is both broad and deep, in terms of technical, process and continuous improvement required to develop and build enterprise wide IS services.

This role is both enterprise in nature and startup in mindset because we are creating and building this IS division from the ground floor.

This role will work in a fast paced environment, have constant demands for on time delivery, and will require understanding our customer needs, analysis and design, strong problem resolution, decision making, communication and partnering skills.

This is a leadership role that includes building, managing, leading, supporting, and inspiring a team of direct reports.

This role requires someone to be both a leader and teacher as we bring in a cutting edge program management mindset and skillset to the organization.

It requires a leader to deal with high degrees of ambiguity, ensure strategic alignment, and effectively drive project delivery, while collaborating with business partners, fellow IS organizations and the project teams.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for analysis and design, ability to drive and solve complex business problems across multiple projects and programs, remove ambiguity, leverage data driven analysis, negotiate trade offs, ensure business value by identifying pain points and track KPIs.

    Provides leadership for analysis and design with the project team.

  • Leverages both technical and industry knowledge to dive deep and quickly understand architecture and technical details.

    Effectively communicates details to non technical partners, leads engineering improvements and provides insight and guidance in solving complex technical problems.

    Anticipates industry and market trends and advises/partners with business leaders.

  • Responsible for developing, building and sustaining relationships with customers and partners at a strategic level.

    Proactively meets with customers/partners, builds culture that values partnerships and is responsive to customer needs.

    Leads strategy and roadmap with business partners.

  • Responsible for program and project communications, including communications across internal and external teams and groups, presenting and engaging with IT and business executives, and creating a culture of transparency and trust.
  • Leverages software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban or Waterfall to deliver projects.

    Provides leadership to facilitate the evolution and adoption of engineering best practices.

  • Leads and delivers large and complex programs across multiple teams, creates environment for successful collaboration, effectively manages executive stakeholders, leads resolution of complex issues and roadblocks, and inspires and leads quality project delivery.
  • Builds and establishes a diverse team with capabilities needed to achieve current and future business objectives.

    Balances the development of existing employees while bringing in new external and internal talent.

    Creates an inclusive work environment where every employee can effectively engage, and wants to be part of the team.

    Provides ongoing feedback that helps your direct reports improve their performance.

    Leverages resources to help employees develop skills and support their career interests.

  • Responsible for communicating business strategy and goals and how they align to the team’s work.

    Coordinates and plans the team’s work to achieve goals and respond effectively to changing priorities, maintaining team energy and results.

    Holds the team and individuals accountable for results and recognize appropriately.

    Build partnerships and collaborates with other teams on related deliverables, and effectively leverage others in relevant work streams.

    Facilitates an environment of inclusion that leverages diverse perspectives and talent, to better represent and understand our global caregivers.

  • Responsible for setting an example and representing the PSJH Values and PSJH culture.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • 10 years program/project management experience.
  • 8 years leadership experience.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Masters Degree.
  • Experience using SDLC methodologies including Agile.
