Director of Sales & Development

Unite for HER

This is a Contract position in Atlanta, GA posted August 31, 2021.

Director of Sales & Development
– Full Time with 10 years-experience Director of Sales & Development will report directly to the CEO and will work closely with the development staff to create and carry out Unite for HER’s development initiatives as it aligns with the strategic plan, national mission activity and outreach.

This is an opportunity to join a nonprofit that is poised for extreme growth as we have newly extended our programs nationwide, opening up so many new opportunities we have yet to pursue.

The position requires extensive executive level experience and management, including national corporate and pharmaceutical partnerships, major donor strategy implementation, sponsorship, events, and digital/cause marketing experience.

Fluency in CRM software, as well as demonstrated ability to develop, nurture and build relationships.

Proven record of secured funding with major individuals and corporate donors.

The position includes developing and sustaining donor relations, and working cooperatively with staff, volunteers, and members of the Board of Directors.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in development, sales, knowledgeable about the giving community across the nation, and is highly organized, compassionate, and committed to women’s health issues.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities are but not limited to: Increase Revenue for our National Wellness Programming Expansion across the country.

Retain and acquire new corporate, retail, and pharmaceutical sponsorships and grants as we expand nationally.

Exceptional communications skills, securing critical meetings with key players, positioning and aligning our goals to theirs.

Follow up to ensure all metrics on events and joint goals are met through benefits promised.

National Sponsorship Proposals/Grants: proven experience in grant writing Responsible for leading development and execution of National Sponsorship Proposals/Grants
– new, existing, and draft proposals, working with Development Staff and CEO.

Areas of National Focus but not limited to: Research, Pharmaceutical Industry, Ovarian, Breast, Metastatic Breast Cancer, underserved communities, Health Inequities and Disparities, Women of Color, Hispanic Programming, Nutrition, National Corporation Grants.

Follow up reporting and file on all progress reports with a long-term relationship
– management approach.

Increase and Cultivate Individual Major Gift, Recurring, and Planned Giving Programs Develop a Major Gifts Program
– Will lead, execute, and develop this new initiative.

Identify and Secure Strategic New Partners -with a focus on research driven by outcomes Secure individual donors and establish deeper ties with current donors and partners Direct Donor Appeal/Annual Campaigns for this program
– contribute in coordination with Communications Director for our Fall and Spring Campaigns.

Establish recurring and planned giving programs.

Provide Leadership of the Development Committee Work directly with the Development Board Chair and Development Staff.

Quarterly Meetings Committee will be responsible for new relationships, growing our national expansion and strategic goals.

Report metrics on all outcomes quarterly to CEO and Board Dev Chair, as well as end of year, presenting statistical analysis.

CRM
– Donor Management Programs: Salsa and Donor Search Have a strong understanding and experience with all areas of our CRM.

Ensure staff have all tools needed to have success in new system.

Develop budgets and goals in your development areas as a part of the UFH senior leadership team that leads our financial growth, nationwide.
