In the Director of Sales role, you are responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales team.
Location: Murfreesboro, TN
Position: DIRECT HIRE, Full Time
Salary: $130,000 to $150,000
Qualifications:
– 4 year degree in business or engineering or a combination of some schooling and experience
– 2+ years of experience in a sales management role
– Strong background in stamping within the automotive industry is preferred
– Covid vaccine is preferred by the company, if not vaccinated will be responsible for obtaining weekly testing
Job Requirements:
1. As deemed necessary by the CEO/President, conduct periodical plant visitations to the customer’s assembly plants which are critical to the company’s long-term business plan.
2. Coordinates sales forecasting, planning and budgeting processes used within the sales organization. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts. As needed, coordinates planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the company.
3. Establish and maintain a working relationship with customers by performing timely visits and/or periodic phone correspondence.
4. Supports the equitable assignment of sales force quotas and ensures quotas are optimally allocated to all sales channel and resources.
5. Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
6. Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
7. Provide input to senior leadership in the development and administration of sales incentive compensation programs.
8. Working with Finance, and Human Resources.to proved assistance with sales incentive compensation administration on an as-needed basis, or when required to arbitrate or clarify the application of sales compensation program policies and procedures.
9. Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.
10. Builds peer support and strong internal company relationships with other key management personnel.
11. Accountable for on-time implementation of sales organization quotas and performance objectives.
12. Accountable for the thorough implementation of sales organization-impacting initiatives.
13. Responsible for the efficient allocation of technology, support, and training resources impacting the sales organization.
14. Accountable for accurate and on-time reporting essential for sales organization effectiveness.
15. Coordinate the sales operations with all the other departments of the company.
16. Outstanding communication, and negotiation skills are required in this position.
17. Develop new strategies, tactics and plans for future growth of company’s database.
18. Generate reports based on facts to be presented before the senior managers and shareholders.
19. Build up a better customer relationship, understand their needs and try to make them satisfied without compromising the company profits.
20. Represent the company’s business policies in various conferences, trade fairs, and networking events to attract more clients.
21. Achievement of strategic objectives defined by company management.
22. Create new business opportunities, business contacts developed, work under the direction of the CEO/President to strengthen these relationships in an effort to gain future work.
23. Follow up and provide feedback to CEO/President. Review competitiveness with the customer on recently completed quotations.
24. Review product design issues with the customer’s Product Engineers, on prototype in progress and/or currently being quoted to understand their business needs and objectives.
25. Meet with customers as needed to support sales and support engineering activities.
26. Liaise with newly generated and prospective customers’ purchasing agents.
27. Develop and conduct presentations to Key Customers and Internal Management personnel as needed.
28. Report sales activities (prospects, projections, strategies, program status, etc.) to CEO/President.
29. Track and coordinate awarded business and open quotes.
30. Consistently adhere to, and support, company policies and procedures, including environmental and quality standards.
