Hotel Emblem is seeking a Director of Sales Inspired by the Beat Generation.

San Francisco’s famous cultural movement awoke the nation’s rebellious side, and Hotel Emblem brings the vibe back as a free-thinking enclave brimming with creative design elements and modern provocations.

The Obscenity Bar and Lounge is an intimate space where local happy hours, intimate dates, and San Francisco visitors are equally at home.

The lounge draws inspiration from the world’s great hotel bars, including the Savoy in London and the King Cole bar at the St.

Regis in New York City.

A location where classic cocktails are served with attentive hospitality in an elegant setting.

Scope of this Position: Develops marketing strategies by analyzing historical, current and future hotel/market trends and creates selling strategies to capture the maximum amount of revenue Prepares annual sales and marketing plan Manages the development of a strategic account plan for the demand generators in the market.

Manages the property’s sales efforts.

Participates in sales calls to acquire new business and/or close on business.

Provides customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Reviews the Strategic Alignment Review (STAR) report, competitive shopping reports and uses other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotel’s market position.

Partners with General Manager and operations team to coordinate customer specifications, effectively respond to customer issues or comments to ensure customer satisfaction Qualified Candidates will possess the following: BA degree and/or three to five years’ experience as a Sales Manager in the hospitality industry, or any similar combination of education and experience.

Extensive knowledge of the San Francisco hotel market.

Experience in meeting deadlines and multiple priorities of business demands as required.
