builds voice AI products that make it easier for people to engage with the world around them.

We do this by creating custom voice assistants that make it possible for companies to extend their brand in new and meaningful ways.

Today, our customized voice AI solutions allow people to talk to phones, cars, smart speakers, mobile apps, coffee machines, and every other part of the emerging ‘voice-first’ world.

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to initiate, plan, and execute projects focusing on our Houndify Automotive product line.

We seek a candidate who is a forward thinker in automotive cloud and embedded ecosystems, and will help shape Voice AI in the next generation of vehicles around the world.

Houndify already provides Voice AI to top car companies around the world such as Mercedes, Hyundai, Kia, Setllantis, Honda, and more.

In this role you will:

  • Own the automotive strategy and product roadmap based on input from a variety of stakeholders and research
  • Champion the product by giving demos to customers highlighting new and innovative features as well as key benefits and advantages
  • Translate product goals into requirements, specs, user stories, and wireframes
  • Manage delivery by being the central nexus between teams including engineers, business development, marketing, designers, and data-scientists
  • Coordinate with Partner Program Managers to customize partner specific solutions, and incorporate feedback from new and existing partners
  • Contribute anything and everything to deliver the best Voice AI experience

We would love to hear from you if:

  • You have 7+ years of experience as a software Product Manager or equivalent, with experience in the automotive industry
  • You have successfully shipped software products at scale in fast paced environments with team members located around the world
  • You believe communication and documentation are critical to a project’s success
  • You are hands on while being able to recruit and manage a team
  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical experience

We’d be especially excited if:

  • You have built products using voice, natural language understanding, and related technologies
  • You understand both embedded and cloud solutions
  • You have prior experience taking over an existing product successfully
  • You have experience writing code, code samples, blog posts, and developer facing documentation
  • You have worked with a number of developer platforms and understand what makes them successful

What information do we collect?

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers such as name, parents’ surnames prior to marriage, alias, telephone number, personal and work email address, postal address, screennames, usernames, date of birth, signature, passport number, driver’s license or state identification card number.
  • Financial information such as bank account numbers for payroll and expenses.
  • Audio, electronic, visual, or thermal information such as recorded voicemails and photographic images submitted, and temperature checks.
  • Professional or employment related information such as Curriculum Vitae/resumé, current and previous employment details, immigration status, or work authorizations.
  • Education information such as education background, university or school diplomas/certificates, and other educational achievements.
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information , such all documents, files, and information you send through our applicant portal.
  • Inferences such as job preferences or willingness to travel and/or relocate.

Data will be stored in a range of different places, including your application record, HR management systems, and other IT systems (including email).

  • For the limited purpose of evaluating the risk that an applicant’s presence poses to others in the workplace as a result of a virus, such as COVID-19 pandemic, or other infectious conditions;

  • To detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; or prosecute those responsible for that activity; and,
  • For compliance, disciplinary, legal and regulatory purposes.

We may collect additional categories of personal information for other business-related purposes and/or use personal information collected for additional purposes, upon prior written notice to you.

What are our lawful bases for processing data (EEA and UK only)?

We process your personal data for the above purposes based on the following legal bases:

  • Our legitimate interest in recruiting candidates for open positions;
  • Necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract;
  • Necessary for compliance with a legal obligation (e.g.

    work authorization or reporting obligations);

  • Consent you provide where we do not rely on another legal basis.

Who has access to data?

Your information may be shared internally for the purposes of the recruitment process.

This includes members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy, and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

We will not share your data with third parties unless your application for employment is successful and we make you an offer of employment.

We will then share your data with former employers to obtain references for you, and employment background check providers to obtain necessary background checks.

How do we protect your data?

We take the security of your data seriously.

We have internal policies and controls in place to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally destroyed, misused or disclosed, and is not accessed except by our employees in the proper performance of their duties.

For how long does SoundHound Inc.

keep data?

If your application for employment is unsuccessful, the organization will hold your data on file for 24 (twenty-four) months after the end of the relevant recruitment process.

At the end of that period, or upon your request, your data is deleted or destroyed.

If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your Human Resources file (electronic and paper-based) and retained during your employment.

Upon your separation of employment with the organization, your personal information shall be retained and destroyed according to our document retention policy and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

What are your rights?

Starting January 1, 2020, Californians have new privacy rights to their personal information.

Businesses are required to inform members of the categories of personal information they collect and the purposes for which the categories will be used, at or before the point of collection.
