Location: US-TX-Irving# of Openings: 1Category: CorporateSystem ID: 11845 Overview This highly visible leader will be responsible for supporting operations of a large surgical hospital in Boise, ID and ambulatory surgery centers across Texas as well as assisting in refining and executing on the strategic vision for those markets.

In collaboration with physician and institutional partners, this individual will in identify and prioritize opportunities to impact cost of care through expansion of services at our surgical hospitals and ASCs.

This role offers the opportunity for a leader with creativity, strong business acumen, and superior communication / relationship skills to make a significant and meaningful impact on healthcare delivery and the triple aim.

Reporting directly to the Group Vice President, the Director of Operations will be an integral member of the field operations leadership team.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities Responsibilities: * Live SCA’s Values and model the way for his/her team* In partnership with Group and Local leadership, define, prioritize, and execute on new ancillary service line growth frontiers at a large surgical hospital in Boise, ID; engage constituents in the marketplace to determine ‘build v.

buy’ and joint venture opportunities* Project management / implementation of selected ancillaries and support facility leadership in identifying and onboarding additional talent as needed* Support of broader Group Ops team to accelerate market development across Texas, including ASCs and OBLs* Manage all strategic and day-to-day operational aspects of the region* Champion Clinical Quality and Continuous Improvement* P&L responsibility for a defined region including annual budget development (eventually $100M+ in net revenue)* Work cross functionally with finance, marketing, legal, supply chain, revenue cycle, and clinical leadership to gain alignment and achieve goals* Drive organizational capability by building a highly committed and talented management team at each center; coaching and mentoring incumbents and bringing in additional talent as needed* Provide teammates with the authority, accountability, training, coaching, and resources to achieve their full potential and successfully drive the company’s performance * Establish, maintain, and deepen relationships with physician and institutional partners Qualifications * Requirements: * Understanding of ambulatory operations and outpatient service line development in a hospital setting* Experience with P&L management ($20M+ net revenue), people management, budget development, and using data analytics to problem solve and drive change* Growth-minded entrepreneur with a will to win; nimble self-starter, team player with ability to strategize, develop, and execute projects on time and within budget with little to no guidance or support* Ability to work and lead with composure in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines* Strengthen SCA’s position as partner of choice for surgical care* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and lead in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment* Bachelor’s degree required* MBA, MHA, or advanced degree preferred* 5-10 years management experience in ASC operations or hospital outpatient centers preferred* Ability to travel across designated market region a significant amount of time EEO Statement We value Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at Surgical Care Affiliates: SCA is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), age, national origin, disability and genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
